Ladbrokes Trophy 2018

The rain is coming for American and Ms Parfois! :devilish:

:triumphant: Feels like a winner already :p

My other is Dingo Dollar and I know Ben Linfoot is keen as well as some other podcasters - so I expect him to be tipped up in the coming weeks preview shows

3 against the field :devilish: (WIll probably add another on the day)

May not win but I'd struggle to kick Black Corton out of a place.

The amount of rain varies with the site you choose but will likely come before declaration time on Thursday. I can't have Ms Parfois or Thomas Patrick unless it's proper soft.

Don Poli entered?

They trying to lower his mark perhaps?:devilish:

Best horse in the race on my ever so humble opinion

Not sure running your horse in a top quality race is a way to get your handicap dropped, for me he'd be better off running poorly against inferior animals...

Don't know the answer, but is American meant to come here or is he going to Newcastle ? on ATR they've jocked Fehily up on him at Newcastle in the rehearsal and Fehily is in Newcastle to ride Summerville Boy.
And I backed Dingo Dollar at 33s for the Ultima and King took him out cos of the ground apparently.
I'll probably back Dingo and Rathvinden on the day to make my three for the race, but if it's soft/heavy ground I'll be annoyed with King.

Depends how close to the front you think he'll be? A few runs in top class company where he looks to be gone at the game, then stick him in against inferior horses and he'll take a tumble?

Before bouncing back and winning by miles :triumphant:

Not sure ... I hadn't considered American going elsewhere really - as he was fav for the race last year I've just had it in my head he'll be coming back for another crack and may be under estimated. Will be disappointed if he is elsewhere but would be an oversight on my part!

Glad you like the Dingo too.

Just backed Dingo & Rathvinden with ladbrokes as they're NRNB now.

Ms Parfois also entered in the Rehearsal:(

I can see the thinking of running American at Newcastle on Saturday as it's usually a small field and he may be able to dominate from the front much easier. I like Ortago Trail if he appears. He has been off the track for almost two years but he beat Bristol De Mai and Defintly Red in the Rehearsal the year he won and I'd likely to get conditions to suit on Saturday. 16/1 is tempting me.

I think the big issue for American will be the Jockey, Fehily obviously up north, so who could ride the horse in the Ladbroke?

Kieron Edgar, Richard Johnson, Geraghty, Aidan Coleman and Sean Bowen all used within the last few weeks for Fry.

Kieron Edgar? Rode Air Horse One in the Elite Hurdle.

I have no idea.

I think if it runs at newbury then they may fancy it's chances as they've used Fehily pretty much everytime.
Couple of those you mention at Newcastle obviously, but
R Johnson might be knocking about. It's hard to tell. fingers crossed

Forget that he's on Thomas Patrick

I really fancy Thomas Patrick for this. Cant have American at any price.

American is now 16/1 best price and went off fav last year - but there is no price at all you can possibly think he's value?

What about 100/1? 1000/1? :devilish:

I hope you've got a nice price on Thomas Patrick - wouldn't want to be just with him at single figures myself.

Do you have something against the name Barry, Kev? ;):highly_amused:

American declared, as is Ms Parfois. Only 14 runners.

14 declared. Kemboy is Willie's only runner and effectively, has no penalty.

Has anyone got information on the jockey for American? It wouldn't surprise me if he is declared for Newcastle as well tomorrow.

Shes been riding for Harry fry quite abit recently, has a pretty good strike rate overall this season for him and better strike rate in chases.
