Many thanks @ComplyOrDie for May’s effort, if Kaid Dauthie manages to win the GC we’ll have an interesting set of wagers given he was also included last month

Now it’s over to @knockando to captain the June Yankee. His approach will be interesting, whether he’s following the @Quevega steer of perming a group of selections each month with almost certain targets, go for more risk or incorporates a mix of both.

Already one early nomination coming from the May discussion where He’s On Fire (BANC) was close to selection but just missed the cut.

I'll agree

He's on fire, he hit the crossbar so worthy of consideration again, i reckon. I like mange tout in the mares, the Elliott festival record does put me off slightly though.

Two from me.

I went back and re-read all the discussions so far.

Mydaddypaddy

We opted for the very solid option, Old Park Star, which was very understandable, the Supreme winner. This fella was 3rd, less than 2l back. He’s going chasing according to Skelton. 8s to 10s.

Kopek Des Bordes

Yes, for the Champion Chase, and yes, after his fall at Punchestown. He’s only 4/1 because I suspect the yard know damn well how good he is, and I’d have every confidence Mullins can iron out the issues. I know, I was expecting something more like 6 to 8s, if I’m honest.

I'd be for He's On Fire who was very close to making the May Yankee.

Will wait to see how @knockando wants to attack the June Yankee before offering up anything else.

I wouldn't pigeonhole He's On Fire to the BANC, which is one of my other concerns with him (deciding which race to stick him in).

Whilst he looked like he had a hell of an engine, he's also not looked short of speed and being by Chanducoq, the Arkle should be under consideration also.

Are we sure Mydaddypaddy goes Arkle? Had Skelton down as back tracking and saying they'd look at Champion Hurdle... But I could've imagined it

In my notes have that it was all very up in the air, said about him being 5 that he may stay hurdling, but nothing definitive.

Wouldnt surprise me if they give him a pop over a fence before he went out to field and disappointed

He did change tack very quickly from saying theyll go chasing

From memory I thought Skelton was very clear he was staying hurdling. Is my mind playing tricks on me ?

I agree, introduced into the betting by some as fifth best for the Arkle

Doesn’t Willie normally start his smart 2m- 2 1/2 milers over 2m and then decide on Festival target?

Who do we think will be Willies Arkle horse apart from He’s on Fire? - Narciso Has (maybe too young?) the monster Mighty Park or the wayward Anzadam?

…..doesn’t look like @knockando has posted since volunteering at the beginning of May, hopefully all is well and he comes in here soon to give us a steer

Apologies all as it was me who started this little conversation re Mydaddypaddy.

All in on Kopek then please. My other fancy.
