How do you guys select the mix of TTF horses ?

I usually look for

3 mile chaser gb
3 mile chaser Irish races
2 mile chaser ire
2 /2.5 mile chaser gb
2 mile hurdler ire
2 mile hurdler uk
Big bucks

Never that sure what to go for with others. Usually opt for horses near the top of paddy power Hennessy that might fall into categories 1-4 above and end up with two random novices ...

Here are last years point scoring horses ( 701 points won overall prize last year). Need more chasers than hurdlers imo

That list is making my head sore

Simple solution just to look at Nicholls Henderson Mullins and McCain horses ?

Capital Ratings Strategy

A well-structured entry for the Jumps is one where every line entered contains horses, in appropriate proportions, which will run in bonus races like the Paddy Power Gold Cup, Hennessy and King George, or in other valuable prep-races en route to ultimately contending championship races like the Champion Hurdle, Arkle, Champion Chase, RSA chase, World Hurdle and Gold Cup. If you would like to see how our structuring strategy was applied, with enormous potential, in past Jumps seasons, click back through the "Prvs TTFs" tab at the top of our pages.

They spilt it into categories a bit like RC's
2m hurdlers (2 sels per line)
QM, Arkle or RSA Chase types (2 sels per line)
Paddy Power sel
3m+ chasers (3 sels per line)
2 Wildcards

February picks vital now too.

Anyone want to team up for a few lines ?

Could work out our shortlists on here but maybe keep the wildcards for PM ?

Rule changes this year

No Monthly Prizes :mad::confused:

1. Change of bonus races - International Hurdle and Aintree hurdle replace the Tote Trophy and Racing Post chase (good move this IMO) - means more slots for your 2m-2.5m hurdlers
2. Only £5 per line, not £10 so loads more perms, but loads more entries to beat!
3. No sub window in Feb, so get your GN types in up front if that's your thing
4. Comp starts with PPGC as usual but you can leave entries till end November (seems daft to do that intentionally but good if folk have missed the deadline)
5. Price bonus – now you get bonus for any horse that wins, based on its actual tote win price, not any banding as in the past ( capped at 50)
6. “Star horses” – each line has a nominated horse that gets double price bonus points for any wins. So pick a 20-1 winner of a bonus race and you'll get 90 points.

Menorah 51 2m novice chase
Binocular 50 2 mile hurdler
Hurricane Fly 50 2 mile hurdler

I think the ones in bold will end up in most lists so need to find 2 mile champion hurdler ( Wide Open ?) , grand national winner ( wide Open ?), 2 mile Irish hurdler ( Fly/ Go native / Solwhit or new kid ?) and a couple of novice chasers ( Simonsig and Boston Bob)

Big bucks and sprinter sacre are the only two of that lot in most lists.

Definitely need a few 3 mile chasers.

No monthly prize ruins it for me. Might never have won it but looks like they just want to sell lottery tickets nowv:mad:

Big bucks and sprinter sacre will def be in most lists.
One of sizing/ Finians/ riverside/albertas / for non stop / cue card/menorah
One of bobs worth/ first l / sir des champs./ silvi conti / kauto stone
One of tidal bay burton port what a friend Roberto goldback anything else might with g nat

----------

That's it for now ...

You need something like the package in there ...with the star horse thing one big priced national winner could skew the whole thing.

Nobody PM'd me so going to go it alone. I'll tell you what I went for next saturday.:D

Can you get the winner of the novice hurdle and chase on Friday into your list ? They both look trappy maybe waiting until Saturday to post is the best strategy ?

Sharp Novices Hurdle
