JLT Novices 2018

It is looking very likely that Invitation Only goes off fav for this race.

I am so disappointed that Death Duty isn't here. Would have REALLY fancied him to beat Invitation Only in any race.

Finian's still my best result. Holding out a small bit of hope because it doesn't look a very good race.
 
You wonder how big the owner's bet on Monalee for the RSA actually was because with the distinct likelihood of soft ground that race could easily stretch his stamina. Without that bet surely this race would have been the obvious choice? Not hard to have seen him going off around 7/4.
 
The normal routine would be Tuesday's runners travelling over today. I think he's booked on the boat tomorrow.

For what it's worth, he and Killultagh Vic schooled nicely at Leopardstown yesterday.

Fingers crossed but let's not count any chickens. So far only the exchanges moving.

Looks a done deal to me going by the exchanges. Monalee to run here.

Pleased as I have him at 6/1 NRNB for the race, but disappointed at the same time as I have a decent bet on Invitation Only and can't see him beating Monalee.

Looks that way on paper but the money's small. My hunch is, its the weather and uninformed money personally, and he goes RSA. Well see in a few mins. I could well be wrong.

So many reasons to come here you have to conclude that Monalee was never going JLT. Easy money laying him for this if that was the case. Decision should have been confirmed ages ago rather the ambiguous stuff that actually came out.

My heart is saying Finans Oscar too but it's a tough call - I like the look of Shattered Love too but again I think that could be more down to wanting Jack Kennedy to do well haha
 
For a small field conditions race this is massively difficult. So many negatives and you could make a case for everything.

Ended up with Kemboy and although I think he has the class and will handle the ground the big fear is that he is a free running sort who will struggle to get home. He didn't get an Arkle entry for nothing.
 
Finians Oscar I keep coming back to. He’s my biggest winner in this one though so that’s probably why. Shattered love might make all. Terrefort 0 from 6 in France left handed which has kind of put me off him
