With so much good racing in the next few days I wondered if there was room for another thread on the non King George races to cover opinions and comments on the results

To kick off at quality not quantity Kempton today:

12.45 odds on Broomfield Burg - hard to oppose
1.20 Bothwell Bridge e/w Your Darling: YD ran and jumped well at Huntingdon and for a long way at Aintree

In the big juvenile race 1.10 at Leopardstown: Fil d'Or to continue to dominate this division with the mare Six Feet Apart as the e/w value

Fil d'Or looked very good as did Broomfield Burg. Your Darling being caught felt like missing a two foot putt. Still think YD has a good future. Looks like soft side of GS

I'm taking Ahoy Senor to beat Bravemansgame despite his iffy jumping - Aintree showed he's a better horse. This being a novice chase Kiltealy Brigs is a big price for the more adventurous punter - likes soft/heavy.

and Riviere d'Etel to beat Ferny Hollow having a weight advantage and more jumping experience.

Early races:
Chepstow 12.30 Chavez 1.05 Whenyou'reready e/w Francky du Berlais 1.40 Forever Blessed/Saint Segal e/w Saint Riquier 2.10 Bells of Peterboro/Takeyourtime
Kempton 12.45 Titian/Kolisi 1.20 Edwardstone 1.55 Tequila Blaze 2.30 Shishkin (Sky Pirate to beat Before Midnight)
Leopardstown 1.45 Grangee

Focus on Leopardstown today with Klassical Dream and A Plus Tard very likely to follow up their previous easy wins. There are some e/w chances though with Abacadabras and Janidil the ones with more chance of improvement. Two good races.

edit: Is Galvin too high a price here?

Pity Fury Road isn't running - can't see a horse to beat Galopin des Champs.

Worst name for a thread ever !!!

Sounds like something 4 lasses from Chesterfield would do when bladderred, and forced to quarantine on holiday whilst sharing a room in Benidorm !!

There's nothing like being positive and encouraging new forum members isn't there!

Looking forward to kilcruit and journey with me tommorow! Imagine if kilcruit gets tucked could we be looking athe pipe with him off a lenient mark! Just a thought!

A day of high quality racing today including a Chester Cup winner, a Dante 3rd and an Andrew Balding foray as well as the admirable Sharjah and a very competitive mares hurdle where Mullins runs 4

A 9k Leopardstown novices hurdle featuring Kilcruit, Journey with Me and Chester cup winner Falcon Eight!

edit: The main focus will be the disappointing Kilcruit fading tamely into 3rd but that was a smooth win by Journey with Me - Falcon Eight may need to go up to 3 miles

I'm going against the Townend choice for Dysart Diamond and the non Mullins Heaven Help Us in the Leo 1.10

edit: Heaven Help Us pipped at the post at 5/1 - another bubble burst with Shewearsitwell

A proper trial for the 3m novices chase (former RSA) in the Leo 1.45 - I like Vanillier and Fury Road here but an open race.

Good to see Fury Road win at a good price of 7/1! :lemo:

Dickie Diver/Masters Legacy in the Newbury 2.0

I'm not keen on chasers going over hurdles but brave Dashel Drasher proved me wrong.

Hoping Sharjah wins another Matheson!

edit: a neck or so is the difference between a (perceived) brilliant ride and a bad one by Patrick Mullins - Zanahiyr has earned a place in the Champion hurdle there.

In a weak Challow the Irish horse (Gringo d'aubrelle) is the obvious choice but I wonder if an outsider might win: Party Business

edit:
A good win by Stage Star but how good is the winner?

Party Business looked a real danger before falling. There are far too many falls in GB NH races imo - as John Francome says the jockeyship is not too good these days with some exceptions of course!

Saturday Cheltenham, Relkeel Hurdle, Guard Your Dreams. Loves Cheltenham. Big improver. Won International last time despite clearly needing further. Beat Heaven Help Us in process who has franked form. Win Saturday and he'll get a Stayers entry . Took the 9/1 with Hills this morning which was too big. Into 7's now. Expect him to be half that at the off. Put him up in Stayers thread in October and backed him Ew at 66's with B365. Now into 20's with them .
