I've had a play on the Derby which, at this stage of the year, will often get flagged on the account so I threw the Derby horse in a patent with Billaway and something else I can't remember.
And just to de-flag the account I had a Monfish (Gold Cup) 7/1 and Energumene (Ryanair) 25/1 in probably one of the worst doubles I've ever placed in my life, but removing the flag was key.

Also had the Shishkin Arkle/QM and Envoi Marsh/Gold Cup double at 125/1...

Mcfabulous is going to be a weapon but knowing if he will even run at Cheltenham and whether it will be marsh or RSA is a lottery

What if he gets beaten by shishkin in the Arkle and chacun wins the champion chase. Mullins could have monkfish and abp for the gold cup so he’s unlikely to head there. The Ryanair would then be logical? All ifs and buts at this stage I know.

Yeah logical but you don’t train a talented young horse to win Ryanairs, you train them to win championship races, if he proves himself not up to a QM/Gold Cup then yes set your sights on lower targets but he needs to be given the chance to win one first...

I think it will depend on the Arkle and what happens with chacun to where he’ll run next season.

I think that’s a typical kind of comment that you, I and every punter would make because we’re primed to find winners, I’m sure owners/trainers dismiss the opposition to a large extent if they believe their horse is top table.
I don’t disagree the Ryanair will probably suit Energumene more than a Gold Cup but there’s no suggestion a Champion Chase isn’t the ideal race for him even if Shishkin wins the Arkle and is still around in a years time...
