Has anyone had a Cheltenham 2022 punt yet

Has there been any commenys regarding ferney hollows targets, is he staying over u
Hurdles?

Just seen that SkyBet have opened up a fair few markets in the last hour.

Champion Bumper - The two CP horse's that want to Wille's have been priced up. I've been waiting for this for ages but 20/1 for both of them is a bit skinny, but what can you expect with them winning the last 3 years. I want to hold off and see if anyone else put better prices out there, but can see these being shortened quite quickly
Mares Chase - No standout odds here

33/1 with Sky

:encouragement:

Won’t be touching anything with Sky or Lads etc for a good while. The odd RAB with a freebie will be all.

Wait till Punchestown is over then start to look properly, have a full seasons form to go on as well.

I've literally thrown the new purchases that I can find into the tracker and those two are some of them.

Flinteur Sacre quoted anywhere for the Arkle ?

....some of these RaB being cut already. Ferny/Journey with me 100-1 from 150-1.

What are the other new purchases please

Only ones I know about are

Classic Getaway - Mullins
Grangeclare West - Mullins
Guily Billy - HDB

There may be others that I don't know about. I think the Moran's were sweeping up most of the horses at big values since

These are all I have got currently with notes. Not sure where is best to source the information from I've been scouting around.

Gringo D'aubrelle - 270k purchase for the Moran's and is with Elliott. 3rd in it's first start over 2m 3f on the flat.

Guily Billy - 310k purchase for CPS and is with HDB.

Grangeclare West - 430k purchase for CPS and is with Willie

Ginto - 470k purchase for the Moran's and with Elliott. Has already raced in two bumpers losing one at odds on and winning the other. Looks more of a stayer for next season. Maybe Ballymore/AB.

Queens River - 330k purchase by JP. Not sure who the trainer is.

Classic Getaway - 570k purchase for CPS and gone to Willie.

Jonbon - Full Brother to Douvan. Bought for 570k by JP. Gone to Nicky Henderdon

One of the few that appeals to me is Dusart for the arkle at 28/1

Closely Related to simonseig and absolutely cruised past soaring glory on his only racecourse start

Worth taking a chance at that big a price despite the injury

Yep, I would steer clear of English novices who ran at the festival. The gap they need to bridge is huge so you’d want to see some evidence of it.

The two that do interest me are Dusart and My Drogo

My Drogo looks one for next year. Just need Skelton to learn how to not blow his load too early.

Currently got my eye on Shewearsitwell 20/1 for the Mares.

will Zanahiyr line up in the CH? 33/1 currently. Was very green yesterday and will improve surely. His reputation speaks for itself.

Energume 25/1 for the Ryanair is an interesting one if they decide to go back up in trip.

Thoughts?

Shewearsitwell is back in training will run at end of April

Absolutely agree of the English novices going chasing there the 2 for me.

Edit. Forgot about Boothill a horse I was very sweet on for the supreme before his injury.

I have already backed Ferny Hollow to win the Arkle. I think this could be the race for FH and if picking up from where he left off prior to the injury I think will take something very very special to beat Ferny. Backed at 20/1 with Hills.

I also requested Journey with me any race (12s with Sky) and got the FH/JWM double readded after they removed the 150/1. Following the same path as Envoi, Appreciate It and Bob Olinger from the point to points. This one is in my tracker and I may top up on Ballymore too after I've seen another run or two.

Good to see commander of Fleet back to winning ways

If they can get a clear run with him then he's a sneaky one for the stayers hurdle (or pertemps)

That Albert bartlett he finished 2nd in looks rather good now with the 2020 stayers hurdle, 2021 ryanair and 2021 gold cup winners in it

Which race do you think JWM will target?

I think it's important now to devise an early ante post strategy specifically around Cheveley Park Stud. Their dominance with a small number of horses is staggering. 3 winners this week that probably should have been 4, and with a few injured horses too. When you think they have less than 20 horses in training in Ireland it really is impressive. Anything they have bought for 500k probably makes sense to just blind back at 33/1+ because their strike rate is brilliant.
