Has anyone had a Cheltenham 2022 punt yet

Does anyone remember the prices for this years festival after last years? These prices showing for next year look awful.

Champion Bumper - The two CP horse's that want to Wille's have been priced up. I've been waiting for this for ages but 20/1 for both of them is a bit skinny, but what can you expect with them winning the last 3 years. I want to hold off and see if anyone else put better prices out there, but can see these being shortened quite quickly

Classic Getaway 25/1 and Grangeclare West 33/1 just priced up at William Hill. Tempted to take those.

If you stuck a tenner on the top 5 in each of the above markets this time last year then you'd have invested 600 quid and you would have walked away with just over a grand, and that's with completely whiffing 5/10 races. I'm not suggest that's an advisable strategy, I just saying that when people say there is no value now, they are wrong, basically.

The Supreme is one that stands out as being much shorter this year.

I think that's a good shout charlie
Certainly when compared to Bravemansgame who is shorter in the betting.
Though not disgraced in the Ballymore, he was well held by the front pair. And his form is very questionable.
You have to take into consideration Paul Nicholls comments on the Denman similarities to some degree, no matter how much imo but for me that's about the only reason i'd be backing him right now, in hope rather than expectation.

Given how the British fared at the festival this year, it's hard to see Aintree giving too many clues for the future. Though some of the Irish do look to be coming over.
Punchestown will be key in sorting out the Irish, whether that is further enhancing the placings through the season / last week or flipping them around. I'm sure they'll be a bit of both.

Back to Gallaird du Mesnil i'd imagine Willie will look to step him up in trip for the Daily Mirror 3 mile novice hurdle, perhaps taking on Stattler again.
Hard to say what the likely field will be given it usually involves AB, Ballymore and often Martin Pipe horses but I think he would relish it.
And I think that race (the 3 mile novice hurdle at Punchestown) is going to be absolutely key for holding up the antepost prices for the Festival Novice Chase (still want to say RSA..) through the summer.

There's a reasonable chance they stay hurdling I reckon.
Willie may not have much for the Champion hurdle, and will want that back.

It seems certain he'll go chasing with his better novices from this year.

Although the negative would be the breeding not really standing out for being a Champion hurdler.
However, you wouldn't say Honeysuckle's breeding smacks of a 2 miler really.

Think Bear ghylls seems to be going a bit under the radar after what was a great run in 4th. He stepped through 3 out, losing about 3/4 lengths then missed the 2nd last where he lost alot of momentum. He stayed on well up the hill and doesn't seem fully developed in his frame. Personally on the ballymore run I'd have him currently as the second best horse to Bob Olinger
 
We need to start pestering Willy hill to open a TWAR market
 
Willie mentioning the CC for Alaho has tempted me in to a related double: Alaho - Champion Chase and Energumene - Ryanair. 1pt at 188/1 (Hills).

I can see it. I think it the less likely scenario, but I can see it. Especially as Energumene looks ready made for 2m 4.
