Two weeks before the festival isn't ideal though.

And if it's soft/heavy they'll achieve nothing, as he barely acts on it.

My sentiments exactly. Pretty odd decision when Pauling maintains he hates heavy ground.
 
Christ it's hard to know where to start with all that. Will weight for the weights on the 25th then wade in.

Birchdale only entry is coral - fingers crossed he gets there in good form :encouragement:
 
Just noticed Ex Patriot has been taken out of the Plate, anyone know why?
 
I see Great field has been moved to Jonjo and has an entry inthe grand annual. Would worry about his jumping standing up to it if he was to go, it had went off the boil at the tail end of his time with Willie. Has a bit of back class though, grade 1 novice winner and grade 2 open company

Deyrann de Carjac - (Plate/Northern Trust), they prefer Plate.
Eden de Houx - possible Imperial Cup/Festival (Martin Pipe H’cap) plot horse.
Faire Port Sivola - (County)
Sempo - (Coral)
Relegate - (Pertemps/Coral)
Tronador - (Boodles).

What a sight when he gets it right , sadly not often enough
 
Been rewatching the trials meeting back this evening, and Rocket Lad caught my eye in the race won by Harry Senior. He’s entered in the Coral Cup, Pertemps & Martin Pipe.
Travelled really well in the race, coming through to lead at the 2nd last, then faded as King Roland made his big move round the field. Seemed to enjoy the track & flew down the hill.
He then qualified for the Pertemps up at Musselburgh, was only a 7 runner race so hard not to really!
Looking back through his form it’s his maiden win that catches the eye, where he easily beat Run Wild Fred & Silver Sheen in 3rd & 4th. Were he to go to the Pertemps on Irish ratings he’d be only 6lbs worse off with Silver Sheen for a 24 length beating.
A concern would maybe be the 3m trip, the only times he’s tried it he finished last, though was found to be lame, and 3rd in his point where he never really challenged.
I’d admit I don’t know much about him though beyond what I’ve seen this evening, anyone with more knowledge have an opinion or know anything about a likely target?

Im on 33/1 and I reckon its Pertempts all day long , they have been very shrewd with placing him , sighter at Cheltenham whereby he definately acted around track well , quietly qaulified without catching the eye. Think he got great chance of winning.
