Going Chasing / Staying Hurdling.

Thanks Lobos - great spot.

Managed to cash out an acca and climbed on board Elimay to go one better in the Mares Chase next year.

Yep I’ve backed Elimay today on the back of this news 6/1 with PP. Still only 7 I’d be confident that Willie will want her to have another crack at the race next year. Colreevy was a bit of a late comer to the party this year and I reckon Willie probably feels he owes Elimay another opportunity to get her head in front after going down narrowly in March. Been cut by both Hills and Skybet today (only others to have priced up) and while 6/1 isn’t the most appealing antepost price this far out, it’s not hard to imagine her going off much shorter again for the race next year.

Klassical Dream. From out of nowhere!

Klassical Dream
So after a year and a half off he comes back and does that.... Unreal. Staying over hurdles? Who knows? 4/1 for stayers hurdle but I would guess all options are on the table??

4/1 any race, as well.

There was an awful lot of talk on here around this time last year regarding Aione being a decent punt for the NHC, then we hear that he's staying over hurdles. I'm assuming he picked up some sort of injury as he wasn't seen on a course at all.
Does anyone know the reason behind this. He looked a stayer to me and one i might be interested in at a decent price if going chasing

Headline on Racing Post App is......Chasing or Hurdling......HDB outlines plans for brilliant Bob Ollinger. Anyone a member ??

They sound like they are going chasing but not 100% confirmed yet

May have missed it but does anybody know what the plan is for Gaillard Du Mesnil? No shame in coming a a decent 2nd in what looks like a good Ballymore but don’t seem to have heard much about him unless I’ve missed something

Nothing Been confirmed yet re any of Mullins Novices. As usual he's been very tight lipped and non punter friendly.

Nicholls horses going novice chasing this season based on the ones practicing over fences this morning on his twitter:

Bravemansgame (already knew of)
Pic D'Ohry (Still a novice)
Flic Ou Voyou
Solo
Danny Kirwin
Confirmation Bias
Threeunderthroughfive
Time to Tinker
Thyme White
Barbados Bucks
Oscars Moonshine
Brewers Project

A less obvious one, Time To Tinker, is in my tracker from last season.

'Won't be top class but could be smart. Fences, soft ground, and up in trip will bring out the best in him. Will improve stepped up to two and half and then three miles. Get's slightly outpaced over shorter, but runs on strongly. Rather than novice chasing, could use hurdles mark over fences to rack up a series of 1's. Stellar Magic form is of particular note'.

No mention of Flash Collonges?

It was just a couple of videos of them popping fences. He wasn't one of the one's out this morning, so he will just be out another time. I'm sure he's chasing along with many more for Nicholls. He'll probably have like 20 plus novice chasers

Am I right in thinking it's been confirmed Aspire Tower is staying over hurdles? Thought I'd read it on here a while back, just seen I have a bet for the Arkle that I can cash out but thought I'd get confirmation first. Cheers

Not 100% confirmed but that's the plan according to Henry. I've cashed out as well and had a speculative bet on him for the Stayers as he is not going to win the Champion Hurdle and the Stayers is the only other race he could take in at the festival if he doesn't skip it completely and wait for the Aintree Hurdle which is a distinct possibility imo

I cashed my Arkle bet a few weeks ago too. I think he'll stick to two miles for the Champion Hurdle as back up to Honeysuckle, and then be stepped up to two and a half for the Aintree Hurdle.

On breeding his stamina would be suspect for three miles. He's also only five and is entitled to improve further again. Given he was a juvenile the previous season (and didn't quite get home in the Triumph), and they tend to struggle in open company the following season, his 4th place last year was an excellent result I thought. If I owned him I'd definitely go back to the Champion Hurdle for another crack this season.
