Glorious Goodwood

I’m in quite a position now. The bet was this:

Trebles (main amount), 4-folds, 5-folds, 6-fold and 7-fold. Only got 80p on the acca but at 937/1, but that’ll do nicely. Trebles was the main part of the bet anyway.

The 8 horses were:
1) Pinatubo @ 7/4
2) Stradivarius @ 4/5
3) Liberty Beach @ 15/8
4) Too Darn Hot @ 11/10
5) Threat @ 9/4
6) Hermosa @ 15/8
7) Jubiloso @ 13/8
8) Battaash @ 1/3

I’d have been delighted with 6 winning. Don’t want to be greedy and dream of the 8 winning but it’s hard not to at halfway..

That’s just the multiple anyway. I got stuck into the singles so had 9/4 Liberty Beach which was a nice winner.

I’ll post my other horses for tomorrow tonight. Still got three races today to run too.

Fantastic MoM, should have a good payout off the 4 winners so for mate

Well done MoM, it’s a good idea to do multiples on the shorties if there are a lot of races with them in, and you want to have something to watch that carries your support. I really hope that you go all the way. I like your next one up - Threat (Hannon raves about him every time he is on the Unibet blogs).

Top betting once again MoM, we’ll done buddy.

Does anyone know why SDS replaces Jaime Spencer on Durston today?

Thanks for the kind words lads. The ball continues to roll.

Day 3 bets:

1:50 - Sinjaari @ 4/1

2:25 - Threat @ 5/2 (antepost)

3:00 - Jalmoud @ 5/1 E/W

3:35 - Hermosa @ 9/4 (antepost)

4:10 - Picture Frame @ 8/1 E/W

4:45 - Craylands @ 4/1

5:20 - Pass The Gin @ 9/1 E/W

The day frankly is all about Threat and Hermosa. Obviously if one was to win that would be great in normal circumstances. But the possibility of the acca landing has me really hoping they both might oblige. The 967/1 accumulator is now only 27/1 to win so I can’t help but think about it. So come on them both!!

1.50 Almania 10/1
2.25 Threat 9/4 (antepost)
3.00 Spanish Mission 9/2
3.35 Hermosa 2/1
4.10 Toro Strike 15/2
4.45 Tulip Fields 13/2
5.20 Get The Rhythm 10/1

Could be favourites day I feel

1 - Fox power & Dalaalaat
2 - Guildsman & small ew on Royal dornoc
3 - Constantinopole small ew on cap francais
4 - Hermosa or Medsayih - forecast
5 - Fred & picture frame
6 - Salsa & small ew on Al Dowadiya
7 - Alfie Solomons and Glory Fighter

Bad luck MoM, thought he was gonna get by but the winner dug in well

I admit to being biased, as I really like Mehdaayih.
But her performance can be marked up today at first glance.
Had a really decent bet on her and unfortunately Frankie looks like he got the fractions wrong, which is rare for him.
Seemed to go too fast and too soon.
Easily the best horse in the race IMO.
Be interesting to see where she goes next.
I'll wait and see what the sectionals experts say.

Real shame about Threat. Hermosa looked slightly lame to me.

If Jubiloso and Batttash could win, I’d end 6 from 8 on the multiple and I’d have absolutely taken that as it’ll be a nice profit. The card looks a card for favourites today to me. Mojito returns after that brilliant Sandown win on my first visit there. I love his draw tbh and can’t find anything to beat him. Group horse in a handicap maybe.

1:50 - Jubiloso @ 13/8 (antepost)

2:25 - Duke of Hazzard @ 9/2

3:00 - Mojito @ 7/2

3:35 - Battash (antepost - multiple only)

4:10 - Eton College @ 15/2

4:40 - Mirage Dander @ 8/13

5:15 - Harrovian @ 10/3

Good luck all

Not sure I’ll have a big interest today, happy cheering on MoM’s Jubiloso and Battash for his 7/8 which I hope will pay decent money...

I’m never ever one to slate jockeys. But I’m going to have a moan here..

That’s a shocker from Ryan Moore. Jubiloso has run an absolutely incredible race to only be beaten a length there despite Moore holding her up and then getting caught behind the typical wall of Goodwood horses. Really disappointing. Hopefully she goes to somewhere like York and I can have a decent bet on her again but that’s incredibly disappointing.

Unbiased opinion from me, but fully agree, that was incredibly poor from Ryan.

Skybet boosted Stradivarius, Too darn Hot and Bataash to 6/1 a couple of days ago

I couldn’t resist but I hate knowing that TDH will lose because of the boost jynx

Not often Sky don’t get one beat

Not often Sky don’t get one beat

Plenty of short ones for them to take on... can see why they picked TDH - but he did well

Well done HF (and MoM)

Beat le Bon put me into a small profit for the week. I’ve found things quite tough this week as a few I’ve backed have been 2nd. I think Growl can run another big race in the stewards cup if he can get a better start than he has been on his last few runs. Interesting to see most of the international horses get overlooked in the markets yet run very well. Deidre yesterday and Houtzen today were both excellent. Do you guys think it could be because British bookmakers don’t look too closely at their form?
