Who's side would you be on re the Epsom Derby if the two we've seen this week Archie?Judging by what Constitution River did, I think we can say that the ground was fine and that Haggas is a good judge of horses to avoid.
Definitely Constitution River but there has to be a chance that he'll go to the French Derby.Who's side would you be on re the Epsom Derby if the two we've seen this week Archie?
I'd be the other way around. BC reminds me of The Minstrel with his colour and markings. A chance they both go to Epsom depending on how AOB horses go in the other trials.Definitely Constitution River but there has to be a chance that he'll go to the French Derby.
Apart from being a fine specimen, CR is able to go in behind a fast pace, move into contention with little effort and then put 7 lengths between himself and the rest of the field in the closing stages. He is bred to stay the extra trip in the Derby. BC is more of a dour stayer and RPRs have him 4lb behind CR.I'd be the other way around. BC reminds me of The Minstrel with his colour and markings. CR was 16's across boards for Eclipse but has been cut to a general 12's (as low as 6 with Unibet).Worth noting he's actually entered in The St James Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot so the match up could happen there. Also in the Irish 2000G. I'd be tempted by the 16/1 for the Eclipse. That would look a perfect fit.
Front two shortened up following disappointing effort from the early Derby Fav Pierre Bonnard who seems unlikely to go to Epsom now. Dante to come this week.Would be a nice follow up from the Derby for which he's now in to 9/2.
I looked at the prices earlier, whilst Unibet are their usual horrific self they are all offering diabolical value with books runninga t around 200% and operating ante post rules.Sustained support for CR in Eclipse....into 6/1 with PP.
Further support for Epsom Derby as well.
