The only time I have come close to missing Cheltenham I was in Australia, wasn’t due to fly back until April but I got to the weekend before and just jumped on a plane.
Somehow watching it on TV in 80 degree sun doesn’t sit right with me but I can see the financial argument.
Was also reminded yesterday of the days we used to do the Darts at the Circus Tavern in the late 90s, tickets were £4 a session, £8 all day, rinsing punters has become endemic across all sport/entertainment events…

The financial argument is a massive one but not the only one for me personally. I just find it much more relaxing and comfortable sitting in a pub with my best mates rather than being on my own, crowded and queueing for ages. My friends wouldn't go to a festival but the thought of some cheap winter sun does appeal to them. I do miss seeing the horses live but going to other meetings makes up for this.

Had my eye on Spingwell Bay for a handicap, unfortunately todays the day it seems.
 
Think the mark was 145 today I think, so would think so
 
Was a nice performance there from springwell bay, too nice for handicaps I'd say !

Cheers both, I must have accidentally clicked a button and hid them but found them again.

IN case anyone's wondering, there's a smiley face icon at the top right when you're writing a message and it hides/unhides them.

Obviously the Plate and the new novices handicap have no upper limit.

Trying to figure out where Jango and Springwell might turn up.
Was thinking Jango for Arkle and Springwell for BANC, but Sir Gino comes along and now trainer saying Springwell stays at mid distance.
 
Probably a daft question but does anybody know if the Hills are NRMB on the machine too? Saves me driving for no reason :emmersed:
