Good job that wasn't trained by Skelton

On that showing he had a stone in hand and would've placed in the BANC
 
Also for those that say TWAR is terrible value that was 14/1 for ages
 
Always some sight watching a horse pulling double coming round that Cheltenham bend. No real worries he wasn't going to win.

Looked like he had no chance for 2 miles of the race, miles back jumping iffy

Then a bit like mount Ida he just loomed up hard on the bridle

Didn't have a penny on but enjoyed the sight regardless

Given it was fav in the get out stakes I imagine he's paid for a right few pints of Guinness in Cheltenham tonight

They went off too quickly and Derek had him in good position. I don't mind then jumping a bit slowly early on if it keeps them off that sort of pace.

His RPR could be high enough for him to have finished 2nd in the BANC.

Yeah I imagine the bookies took a hammering on that last race. See if the JP hotpot in the Pipe can do the job tomorrow.

Sorry should have clarified other than Sa Majeste who would have Derek onboard anyway.

Iris Emery probably won’t get in at 120 Irish.

Paul Ferguson alluded to Johnnywho running in the NHC on the latest Matchbook podcast. Not sure how definitive that would be a a target though.

Couldn't have Johnnywho winning any kind of serious race. Absolute dog of a horse. Has he ever beat one decent horse?

Is the NHC a serious race these days? A 0-145 handicap, over an extended trip, might just be his bag.

I agree though, I wouldn't have him at the top of my shortlist.

He's randomly been supported for the Ultima after entries today.
Which is bizarre cos I'd not back him at even money to even finish that race.

Agree I’d possibly fancy him for the NHC or Kim Muir given it’s a decent amateur in one race and a marathon trip with nothing too ‘well’ in now in the race with the 145 limit.

Well the thinking was, not that many years ago, that they'd upgrade it from a G3 to a G2 race and it would help produce Gold Cup horses, which for a short period it did.
Now they've made it a handicap with a ceiling of 145.
Stick around, it'll be a G1 3m 4f race for mares soon....
