Foxhunters 2019

If you want to hold the form down with Mr Mix I could offer you up Brandon Hill who was a neck further back in third with a rock solid 133 rating, hes given him 3lbs and an eased down 11 length beating. Respect peoples opinions, but looking forward to the race so the horse can prove you wrong lol.

An 11 year old who's last win was off 127 2 years ago.
I won't take up your offer.

Im getting the feeling your not the only one not interested lol

Well thats told me lol

Wouldn't be too downbeat about it, we all have opinions, and see form differently, it's sometimes good to back your own judgement and not follow the pack, so good luck with it, but for me I'd be wanting plenty more juice in the price for it to even be considered, as I don't see it as a winner in waiting, more an each way play only.

TY COD. Honestly just enjoy the debate dont take anything in the world of social media remotely to heart. At least I know now why Hazel Hill is 10/1, no one fancies him!!!

There were a few takers on here at 25s after his win.
I considered it but after a look into his form further. Wasn't for me . Dosent mean he can't go well.

I use RPRs a lot so this horse was always going to be a bet for me once he was given that rating.

Yeah Billy, the thing for me is Hunter chase form is quite a bit different to actual raceform anyway.

There are plenty of higher rated horses that don't take to it + at the price i would definitely question the form.

All opinions of course + that's why we enjoy it!!

Chaps, at first glance you may see he was disappointing last year, but if we get true spring ground for this festival, is Burning Ambition a play?

There’s some 20/1 quotes out there and regardless of weather, I can’t see him going off bigger on the day.

He won a point a couple of weeks ago, and if he takes in a February prep run and wins then 20/1 will be trimmed.

His age means he can still improve- unlike some market rivals. I just felt the ground blunted him last year- he’s a strong traveller and will need to be played patiently.

Standupandfight entered in the Open at Kilfeacle on Sunday,Road To Riches,Burning Ambition,Kruzhlinin,Tell Us More also among the entries

Would need to look back, but wasn't he a non stayer?

Dosent run. 100%

Cheers Scoob- how’d you know mate? (Apologies if I’ve overlooked something in the press!)

When I was looking at stand up and fight, burning ambition was entered for all the same races. And the trainer was quoted in the pre race comments every time on ptp.ie that he wont go to chelt. Aintree the one.

Cheers mate :)

Another one to catch my eye last year then who I think can be better on spring ground is Caid Du Berlais. I like the yard for this (Loxton used to be partners of the Nichols team?)but I’d like to be sure on the jockey booking?

Caid Du Berlais is my baby for this race ;) Think he brings the best 'rules' form to the table, provided Gilgamboa didn't turn up. Will Biddick rode him last season and I'd expect the same, with different results this time around. Hosed up at Punchestown, wonder if they will get a run into him before the festival this time around.

Definitely goes though according to PN (although now under a different trainer, but from near enough the same yard).

I led the Burning Ambition fan club last season. Got some juicy priced. Was adamant he’d be the class horse on the up against a field of aging hunters. I piled in. I got burnt. He didn’t stay. I’d be utterly utterly tortured should he go on to win this year.

However, I’m 99.9% sure I read a while back a quote from the owner/trainer saying he was Aintree bound instead of Cheltenham. That flat track will suit him I’d think as it goes.

I thought so - knew I’d read about Aintree somewhere.
