I am assuming we don't place these bets until much closer to the time?

I think Neon Wolf is a stone-cold certainty to beat Finian's Oscar. I don't rate any of the Irish horses as strong enough (unless Death Duty re-routes) The sectionals that NW produced are so impressive the last day. He has a much better turn of foot than any other novice on either side of the sea and in the Neptune, he'll be able to cruise along and just power off up the hill. I hope Finian's Oscar turns up too otherwise he'll be too short to consider though.

Discussion until Sunday 12th March when final selections need to be made, bets then placed....

Looking forward to this, I'm sure we are all aware but just incase, the races on the Wednesday are as follows:

Neptune Novice Hurdle
Coral Cup
RSA Chase
Queen Mother Champion Chase
X-Country
Fred Winter Juvenile Hurdle
Champion Bumper

Alpha Des Obeaux for the RSA, bled at xmas but I think I'll have a few backers going off reading the site for the last few months.

I'd second this shout

I was SO close to offering odds that ADO will be in this :highly_amused:

You're absolutely right that he has a lot of love from this forum ... how do people feel about including horses that are already covered? I appreciate not everybody is... :)

I third the shout on ADO.

Its nothing of exceptional price but Cantlow is my banker of the day (without Douvan obviously). His jumping is nearly immaculate, he was pushed wide last time out by the loose horse which would've knocked a lot of momentum out of him. He was giving a lot of weight that day to the winner on ground slower than it will likely be at the Fes. Im already on in a couple of multiples and a 4pt win at 3s (sadly not bigger). He looks the most likely winner for me and if his price is the same come finalising this will be of great value I think.

Gods Own without Douvan, if he runs.

If anyone suggets Fox Norton I will have fisticuffs.

The forum horse Western Ryder has to be involved, surely?

Liking the suggestions so far, ADO isn't a horse I have covered myself so definitely one I'd be happy to have at this moment in time unless anyone else has further suggestions for the race.

I was going to suggest the without Douvan market as I had previously in the Champion Chase thread, and Gods Own is rightly suggested, so he will go into the mix for the final 4 :)

Keep them coming guys.

I'm struggling to see the love for ADO, not a natural jumper of a fence and despite being heavily tried in G1 races never got his head in front and would have to overcome a huge trend of not having run in this calendar year....

Coney Island if he turned up as an alternative for ADO? Form ties in nicely with good horses and Barry can get the job done in an RSA.

I know we're looking for value, but Neon Wolf still 6s in places for the Neptune looks a brilliant shout (especially as Muggins here has a slip for a very juicy price on him...to win the Supreme fml)

I agree, Neon Wolf is looking a good shout.

Air Horse One for the Coral Cup. Will get in near the foot of the weights and finishes his races strongly.

Has Fry got any previous with an improving staying hurdler though?

Just to check, does anyone object to Cantlow?

Ista - Do you think we should allow the judges to pick a win yankee + a e/w yankee?

Or is everyone happy with 1 or 2 short priced favs with bigger priced selections acting like a price boost?
