Day 5 - Saturday - Royal Ascot 2020

Thoroughly enjoyable festival - Spanish City getting placed in the 2nfdlast was the icing on the cake.

Some great insight on here - much appreciated!

Nothing will top Art Power yesterday who frankly has paid for my entire summer but.. here’s my selections for day 5. Thanks for everything this week, it’s be terrific lads. Great craic which I miss out on during Cheltenham week as I’m there but this week the forum has been superb.

- Chiefofchiefs @ 33/1 E/W (6 places)

1:15 - More Beautiful @ 6/4

1:50 - Admiral Nelson @ 5/2

2:25 - Quadrilateral @ 11/4

Well done Rob - superb turn around. I thought Summerghand had got up on the line at the time.

I could have smashed the TV at times but it was a thoroughly enjoyable week.

Personal highlights were Mountain Angel skipping his way up the rail. The Lir Jet running through the line (I told everyone at work to back him) and Palace Pier looking all class.

I got plenty badly wrong but my biggest disappointment was Bless Him not running on Tuesday. Alan King should stick to the flat:devilish:

My work poker group declared me "the shittest tipster of all time" at one point.

My next one was highland chief and only one brave soul followed me in!

It's been a long weekend for myself, and just taking stock of my personal Royal Ascot. I don't have exact figures, but it was very good. Plenty of losses, of course, given the number of horses I cover this generally becomes an inevitability, but my full list of winners and places are as follows (in price order):

Winners:

Scarlet Dragon 40/1
Campanelle 15/2
Golden Horde 11/2
Fujaira Prince 5/1
Tactical 9/2
Santiago 9/2 & 4/1
Who Dares Wins 7/2 & 5/2
Nazeef 10/3
Circus Maximus 10/3 & 5/2
Art Power 3/1
Frankly Darling 7/4
Bataash 4/6
Stradivarius 4/6

Places:

Ropey Guest 50/1 & 33/1
Presidential 40/1
Ebury 25/1
Vale Of Kent 20/1
Get It & Yazaman both 20/1 (same race)
Nahaar 16/1 & 14/1
Floating Artist 14/1
Kimari 9/1
Berlin Tango 7/1
West End Charmer 13/2
Global Storm 6/1
Finest Sound 6/1
Sceptical 5/1
Verdana Blue 9/2 & 4/1

Overall plenty of profit despite the scattergun, the obvious highlight being Scarlet Dragon 40/1 :encouragement:

Well done COD
Ropey Guest possibly the most talented maiden around?

Cheers SA.

Yeah, he's a reliable type, who just doesn't seem to quite even be good enough, but he does/done me proud on occasions :)

Well played KB.

Thanks.

During lockdown I drew up a list of just over 30 less exposed 3yo's and Hukum, Khaloosy and Waliyak were amongst them. It was pleasing to see that bit of effort paying off because you often only get one shot at a big price with these type of horses.

Did a similar thing with bumper horses and point to pointers so fingers crossed that is equally rewarding.
