Day 3 Thursday 18 March 2021

.....after Bob Olinger Wednesday, it would be more than perfect to have a Bosses Oscar Thursday.

Jack Kennedy to ride 2+ riders 5/2

He’s got:
Envoi Allen
Samcro
Fury Road
Farclas
Mount Ida

So basically it’s 5/2 for one of the bottom 4 to win

Worthy of 2 points in my estimations

1:20 Envoi Allen
1:55 Imperial Alcazar
2:30 Samcro e/w
3:05 Fury Road e/w
3:40 Fils D’oudaries ew
4:15 Gauloise e/w
4:50 No bet

I thought that, then realised I've already backed all of those horses, so didn't get involved :biggrin-new:

The Bosses Oscar is 4/1 (1/4 odds, 4 places) in the "without Imperial Alcazar/Champagne Platinum market" with 365.

He's 11/2 7 places (1/5 odds) at Sky, and best price 6/1 (5 places 1/4 odds) with 365....

But that's a decent concession to take isn't it? If the two market rivals happen to beat him, you'd still get paid as a winner and it's not exactly mad deep with likely winners?

Envoi Allen to win by 3L or more
Anything Will Do EW at a big price 7 places
Allaho or Samcro would be scenes, as would Tornado Flyer
Sire De Berlais to win, Flooring Porter would be OK too
A Wave Of The Sea or Sully Doc AA in the Plate
Royal Kahala would be mega, as would Telmesomethingirl
Plan Of Attack to win the Kim Muir in place of RWF

I feel today could be very tough for me from a betting perspective. Missed most of the big prices on the favourites in the handicaps and the Ryanair, Stayers and Mares Novices are all so difficult to call, but should be a great day of racing.

Mostly I just want Envoi to win. If he loses it could be a very long day.

My dream results:
Envoi
Kansas City Chief / Spiritofthegames
Samcro / Min / Allaho
Fury Road / Vinndication / The Storyteller
Fils D'oudairies / Smarty Wild
Hook Up / Gauloise / Glens of Antrim
Mount Ida / Plan of Attack / Townshend

Done a lot of place accas today too. Can't be bothered to type them all up though. :welcoming:

1.05 Envoi Allen
1.40 The Bosses Oscar
2.30 Melon
3.05 The Storyteller, The Storyteller, and The Storyteller (didn't realise how reliant the rest of my fez is on him ..... those darn 22/1 NRNB prices)
3.40 Farclas
4.15 Royal Kahala/Gauloise (both huge winners for me as final legs of accas)
4.50 Mount Ida

Good luck, one and all.

Anybody else getting a bit superstitious it’s going so well?

First two days I’ve done the exact same thing
walk to the shops for the Racing Post at 10:30
Haven’t shaved
Haven’t showered
Wore the same outfit yesterday as Tuesday

The missus is going wild haha

Some very competitive races today.

Hoping EA shows his class again.
In the 2nd, gone with the Cheltenham form and I'm hoping The Bosses Oscar does it for the forum.
3rd I've done Fakir D'Oudaries and Samcro ante post and will leave it at that. I'll do something in-play once we see what the tactics are and what the pace is.
Beacon Edge e/w 33/1 in the Stayers and Paisley Park.
Sully D'OC and The Shunter in the PP Plate
Gauloise, Hook Up and Telmesomething ante post.
Storm Control in the last, with Shantou Flyer, Plan of Attack and Go Another One in multiples.

Just hoping for some competitive races this year. Sully DOc, The Shunter, Storm Control or EA winning will leave me in profit for the day.

Two very good opening days for myself and I'm sure many others on this forum.

Todays bets:

1:20 Envoi Allen (multis and a distance single 4+ lengths)
1:55 The Bosses Oscar (biggest winner of the day for me)
2:30 Samcro e/w & Min win
3:05 Paisley Park
3:40 A wave of the sea EW
4:15 Royal Kahala
4:50 Hold the Note EW & Shantou Flyer EW

Good luck all.:boxing:

This is a really good shout and surprisingly is still 5/2 given Fury Road is now 4/1.

Added Go Another One @ 22/1 in the Kim Muir

Day 3 Best Outcomes:

Paisley Park for multiples

The Shunter 9/2 EW

Mares Nov:
Hook Up 16/1
Glens of Antrim 25/1 EW

Posted this in the day 3 thread but will mention here as it looks a decent angle to me

Given he's now 4/1 outright fav, I'd say this was a decent bet.... for anyone up at 3.05am :highly_amused:

Is this a day when the GB trained horses do better? Currently losing 11-3

Marsh Novices Chase:
Envoi Allen ticks all the boxes and has impeccable form credentials
Fusil Raffles and Shan Blue are very promising young chasers and good value
  1. Chantry House 9/1
  2. Fusil Raffles 14/1
  3. Asterion Forlonges 14/1
