The draw has been made and all managers are now known, @FinalFurlong91 kindly volunteered to steer Tuesday's ship.
Same as the monthly yankees, post suggestions and discuss in here and @FinalFurlong91 will decide who is worth listening to and who talks complete bollocks and will hopefully find everyone four winners.
We'll set the deadline at Sunday evening for all yankees but leave a little creative licence for the later week yankee managers if key decisions aren't confirmed.
Best of luck.....

…..4 handicaps on Day1. Hyland (Ultima) an obvious consideration for obvious reasons, bits of 14-1 but generally 12s now.

Win or e/w Yankee ?
Given they have ruined the best day of the festival by giving it 4 handicaps

I was thinking an e/w yankee across the 4 of them

Maybe 12/1 minimum price. Try to get a decent place mulitple up.

Best to finalise once entries are out id guess

…..probably wasting my time but the Diamond Geezer Comp might be a useful reference for all the captains. I looked at 1st day selections for more than 1 pick;

Supreme;
OPS; 6 selections
El Cairos; 3 selections
TTT; 3 selections

Ark;
KDB; 8 selections
Lulamba; 4 selections

FW;
Munsif; 5 selections
Manlaga; 2 selections
Highland Crystal; 2 selections

Ultima;
Blaze the Way; 3 selections
Hyland; 3 selections
Jagwar; 2 selections

CH;
TNL; 5 selections
Lossie; 2 selections
BDA; 2 selections
Golden Ace; 2 selections

Plate;
Donnacha; 5 selections
Mclaurey; 3 selections

NHC;
Newton Tornado; 4 selections
Wade Out; 4 selections

In the Plate a good case can be made out for Donnacha. Of course he was selected as part of the ew Naiad double. But looking at his stat profile he is strong there as well. Admittedly we have not had declarations and I mistrust the accuracy of the bookie driven fields at the moment. Nevertheless at present in those priced under 25/1 he is the only one to have won this season at Cheltenham. The past 6 winners had won at Cheltenham earlier in the season.

He does look to have got off lightly with a 4lb rise for pulling 10 lengths clear with Jagwar

Has run well all 3 occasions hes run at the track

The Plate is unsurprisingly a tough one, Madara was the original plot job and Skelton has been fairly honest about this, I know the owners are on at 33s, but I keep coming back to why HDB sent Downmexicoway to the Irish Arkle when he was clearly never looking to get competitive, I'm just joining the dots and believing he wanted the 4th run, and I think he'd have a huge chance if he comes here.
Interesting if you watch that DRF race back too, HDBs horse was happy sitting 25-30l off the pace and leaving the two class acts to it, they were all out for the final 3f whereas Downmexicoway sat out the back effectively having a private gallop, he hit the line a fresh horse 23l back....

….notice Ruby Walsh gave Downmexicoway as his GA selection at last nights Paddy Power Preview.

Like the sound of that

Zurich is another CD winner from earlier in the season who I could see being in with a chance if he gets a run. Six horses in behind have won since including Newton Tornado who could be used in a related double at 207/1 NRNB.

Following the outlined criteria (EW H'cap selections @12s+) I suggest these three candidates:-

La Luna Artista (Fred Winter)
Hyland (Ultima)
Iceberg Theory (NH Chase)

(I like McLaurey & Donnacha at shorter prices in the Plate fwiw)

I always think the best way to approach selecting a yankee.
Is to offer up selections that are perceived to be value.
Then when you narrow them down, is the time to decide win or each way.
Not the other way around.

….6 day confirmation stage today, might help.

I’ll suggest Will the Wise for Gavin Cromwell in the Plate, should be nicely in off 139 and 14-1 NRNB available.

Sacrilege i know - but i really fancy Leave of Absence to run a huge race in the Ultima.

The other is King of Answers in the NHC - he was well fancied in the Ultima, so he has to come into the reckoning here as it looks a weak enough renewal with no stand out Irish graded horse in waiting.

Thats one sorted then

The boodles is the real headscratcher as usual

Spent a few minutes going through the fred winter trying to find something i like not called munsif and came up blank

Hes just run in the right races for this imo, they almost won the race with byker recently too

He ran behing proactif and macho man

He ran in the naas race and was again tenderly handled

Anyone fancy any others in the race?
