Cheltenham Trials Day.

Looks sound deebee, though these can throw up the odd surprise and you wonder how wound up some horses are in Jan.
Djakadam tipped up when short last year and I remember a 66/1 winner of the Cleeve in a monsoon 3/4 years ago....

i know its short but a treble of UDS, Thistlecrack and UNWIMH just looks solid and will hopefully add further confidence to those on said selections for the fes

Chucked 4pts on this nyself.

Cheers Mayo. The walk into town would you say around 15-20 mins ? I'm preparing to sell it to the Mrs who thinks racing trips should evolve around York in August sunshine!

I'll check out Montpellier area and bars mentioned.

The walk from the course to Montpellier will take you 30 mins minimum, Mayo is right about that being the area to head for, plenty of bars, some nice restaurants and less drunks than the town centre, should be a great day (and night). i live about 10 miles from the course and go to every meeting, somehow this time i'm more excited than normal, Maybe i should get out more!

Cheers Joleg. Looks like taxi or bus then as Mrs won't be up for half hour walk in the cold.
Booked into Turtle Bay for a meal then will head to Montpellier to check out some cocktails and spend up my Ballyoptic winnings :)
I'm sharing your excitement mate. I struggled sleeping last night as it was on my mind........go two nights to go yet!

There are shuttle buses to and from the course during festival week so I'm assuming it'll be the same on Saturday. It's only a couple of pound each and takes no more than five minutes.

Has there been any news on who/if both Charli Parcs or Defi du Seuil runs in the opener for this yet?

Noticed At The Races have Geraghty jocked up on DDS but Racing Post have him jocked up on CP looking through the cards now

The bookies had CP 4/6 and DDS 6/4 2 days ago, yesterday it switched and today switched back

Turtle Bay is about half way, nice goat curry! Im sure you could pursuade the mrs to do 2 x 15 min walks!

Geraghty jocked up on Charli Parcs ..

Im sure 1 of you guys will be able to help me out. What should I wear :D I know there isn't a dress code but don't wanna feel out of place :p Im in Club/Tatts

It looks as though DDS and Charli Parcs will face each other (I thought one would drop out).... very interesting...

Would have thought DDS would be the one out of the two.. much more experience and looks a class horse in the making. If CP does win on Saturday though it would be a sign that he's a very good horse.

That's my thinking - I'm on DDS @ 14/1, but have nothing on Charli Parcs for the Fez.
Hoping DDS cements himself at the top of the Juvenile tree :)

I see BG is riding CP not DDS. Does that suggest CP is the favoured horse?
I'm on DDS for the Triumph and I can't figure out if I want it to win or lose this race. :p
Is the Supreme more prestigious than the Triumph?
TBH can't determine the difference between the races, both over similar distances, hurdles and 4yo+

Im on DDS for the Triumph aswell, id like him to win this but CP run a solid race aswell and CP end up in the supreme

No real dress code at Cheltenham - red cords are popular though.

My guess is they are still finding out about both. Barry hasnt sat on CP in a race yet so makes sense for him to do it here.

And blue everywhere for Charli Parcs, 4/5, with Defit de Suiel 11/8.

Gutted I missed 9/1 Auvergnat in the XC, had to settle for 7s but that still represents value to me....

Cotswold Chase could be interesting - Thistlecrack might have some company in the air early doors. Smad Place and Many Clouds like to go on ?

I think this will be a much greater test of Thistlecrack than the King George. MC and SP will test his jumping. Cheers Mayo
