Huge price that for Wylie - very tempted myself there.

Backers of Ricci will be praying Annie and/of Faugheen make it and he'll need to take in at least 2 on the Tuesday. After that he 'only' has Douvan and Djakadam as his high profile horses for the remainder of the week leaving him with the bumper and triumph as his best hopes (at this stage) - races he'll have plenty of ammo in but only ever had 1 winner in both races before

Couldn't have JP at those prices at all even if it is probably his strongest year yet. It's been mentioned on here before but he always has a lot of fancied runners turned over. Most handicap 'Good things' don't come in.

Gigginstown - I'm not sure where the amount of winners would come from. I'd want Don Cossack to be lining up in the GC to side with them

Ricci has Min too and VVM that could go off shortish odds...

JP will have quite a lot of favs and lots of bullets so I do see why he is fav... not the kind of bet I'd steam in on though. On The Fringe, UNWIMH (Jezki), Yanworth, CAntlow (Quantativeeasing), One of about 4 in the triumph, you'd expect him to have the fav in Fred Winter too? Maybe a live bullet in the Supreme.....

It is just the volume of horses up JP has that makes him hard to beat
Even if one of the others matches his winners there's no way they will have more placed horses than him
Ricci had all the big guns for the big races last year,JP still won

Yeah actually when I go through the markets and see who you mentioned I can see the sheer amount of horses he (JP) has in contention with leading chances!

Still wouldn't back it but I can fully see why he's odds on now looking at it.

Plus I need to be thinking that way too...the win Yankee is counting on JP! :triumphant:

With Don Cossack retired, Colin Tizzard to train the 1-2-3 of the GC comes into consideraton, with Thistle and NR so prominent in the betting and on the off chance Cue Card does show up and with Alary being talked up by Tizzard, 12/1 isn't a bad price?

Wouldn't fancy it myself ryan. I'd definitely want Cue Card as a confirmed runner before I parted with my money for it though... enough live outsiders that could run in to the frame too compared with Alary?

To be honest I know nothing about Alary apart from Colin talking it up. I just have a sneaky feeling theyll give Cue Card another go in the GC, in my opinion he deserves that at least.

You could jsut back NR, CC and Alary each way... and you'll probably be better off if the 1-2-3 did come in? (No maths behind that at all yet....)

They've only cut Tizzard to win the Gold Cup from 4/6 to 8/13 ... seems kind with Don Cossack no longer a threat.

Id soon rather take that than take TC's price

PP just gone nrnb on the 4 championship races

It's not for me but Douvan looks too big at 1/3. Altior at 3/1 overpriced too on account that he'll only run if Douvan doesn't.

Thanks for the heads up Liam.

5/4 Faugheen
2/1 Annie

Odds against indeed - What am I missing??!

I'm going to have to back Annie at 2/1.

Yeh 100% agree with both of those. Probably won't bother with Douvan though... I mean, he'll be 1/3 on the day SURELY? If not, I don't even care at this point? (For how much I'd need on now to be worthwhile??)

Altior 100% though, going to back that now... and I do think God's Own is over priced, I think it is Ista that is a big fan of him for this race, and still very generous odds...

F and AP .... not sure what to do? I actully have AP at 5/2 to win any race, so I'm tempted to just leave it. Faugheen will surely shorten though if he wins the Irish CH and that is surely good enough?

Douvan Faugheen double? 2/1 NRNB ....

That Champion Hurdle market takes getting your head round. Sceau Royal is catching my eye at 33/1.

The whole market in the champion hurdle looks very reasonable as a whole. I was expecting some very short prices across the board

I am not sure what to do.... is 5/4 a price I would pile in to for Faugheen on the day? Or 2/1 Annie on the day? I just don't know what to think.
Pleased Yorkhill has no odds at all though haha
