Cheltenham Festival Previews 2017

Thanks qzy!

Great write up.

Of the ones mentioned, which did they sound most excited about?

Yep, thanks for this Qzy,you know it's just around the corner when we start getting the preview write ups. Love reading through them.

Great review.. bit disappointed JOB didnt mention Landofhopeandglory on good ground!

Another thanks from me :encouragement:

It was watching Davy last year at the Betfair preview that got me on Yorkhill at 7s. So - Death Duty for the Neptune? Hmmmm.

Squiggsy - was it something Davy said about Yorkhill, or something he didn't say :)

As I recall it was something he DID say - that it would be Neptune not Supreme and he was best that Irish would have, or something like that. At the time target was up in the air for both he and Bellshill if I remember right.

But I acknowledge its what they DON'T say that can be more interesting...... I don't remember him bigging up Mall Dini last year, for instance. But on the face of it Davy seems to be at ALL of these previews! Must be lucrative........

Thanks squiggsy.
I saw DR on a (boyle?) preview last year and his words regarding Mall Dini were "Im riding a horse called Mall Dini for Mr.Fahey and if i say that i haven't been overly hard on the horse(winking) in his 3 races"
I lumped on @20s:triumphant:

Thanks for the notes. Hard to believe Davy Russell could come up with so much tripe. Do the bookmakers pay him to turn up on these panels? Finians Oscar for the Supreme? Death Duty for the Neptune? Empire Of Dirt wanting soft ground and could stay 5 miles? Any sane punter should just ignore every word he says.

Having said that Davy was adamant that Vautour would run in the Ryanair last year and he was bang on.

Spot on Jon. Davy has come up with plenty of very useful info over the years. The hard part is working out which bit he means and when he's taking the piss!

he won me a pile on that as I took a chance. I have DD at 46/1 on Betfair for the Neptune so hope he is right.

I quite like the guy and he has a useful record in the handicaps at Cheltenham

Strangely enough, he did and I got on all 20s n 16s..... happy days

Spot on. I did the same, my biggest winner of 2016....

Heading into Larry Tomkins sports bar here in Cork tonight for preview night with Nina Carberry, Enda Bolger & Tony Mullins. Depending on how much alcohol is consumed I'll either post something late tonight or early tomorrow. 2 more weeks folks!!!!

Porge! Don't get so drunk you can't understand them :). Actually wait they are jockeys-they are hard to understand as it is!

I have been checking this forum page for days now and it's very short on preview night write ups- just as Twitter is. Am i.still a bit early.

theporge is currently having a berocca with a pint of water and a large bacon butty :encouragement:
