Cheltenham Festival Previews 2017

I heard about Warwick, but didn't realise one was in Birmingham. That could work and even build a wee bar crawl into it.

Any idea what the venue is?

If it's the one I am thinking of then it's not in the city centre unfortunately . I didn't go last year but went the year before and it's held at a working men's club in Kingstanding.

It's the only preview night I have ever attended and it was a decent night. Lydia Hislop and Steve Mellish on the panel.
Not aware of one in the town centre, but more and more crop up these days so who knows .

Anyone arriving in Cheltenham on the Monday before the festival might consider going to the preview night in The Hollow Bottom pub
It is a little out of the way but a good night
Ryan Hatch,Sam Twiston Davies and Carl Llewelyn on the panel
20 pound entry includes a buffet
Booking out fast, only about 30 places left
Good racing pub, definitely worth a visit

Is this in the marquee out the back Liam ?
I went to The Hollow Bottom after The New One won the Neptune, spent a short while with NTD and P Hobbs who are very pally together.
Inside the pub is as busy as anywhere you'll ever go, you can't get from one end to the other you just get carried by the crowd.
Cracking night though....

No Istabraq
The preview night is all inside the pub
Restricted to about 150 ,theatre like seating with a buffet at the break
They have a marquee for the racing itself, does get very busy
You can book a champagne reception and 4 course meal on gold cup day for the rediculous fee of 95 pounds per head, yes 95

I'll be attending this one as usual.

New to this forum, but been viewing it for years now.
My first question and not sure if anyone can help, but thinking about going to the Chepstow event.
£ 25.00 for entrance, which is fine, but being put off my the fact that that Chepstow Racecourse are saying it is a charity night.
To be honest, I want to watch a preview and not spend all night dishing out money. Just wondering if anyone has been to this kind of event and let me know how it runs. Not being tight, but this is all about Cheltenham to me.... Hope u can help

welcome ziggym.

Cant speak about Chepstow but know in general a lot of the events are run for charity but in my experience they dont tend to be the pass the bucket / double dipping type of night out.
