Cheltenham Festival Preview Nights 2019

Might be pocket talking but wondering if GE is throwing out a red herring here. Bearing in mind he later goes on to say the 4 miler is still plan A for CC (not ruling out the JLT), and you’d imagine MK is still JLT bound. My feeling/hope is they are now deciding between the two handicap options and once they have expect the current price to disappear.

Great write up KS, much appreciated!

Ggginstown generally do this.
They appear to have three staying novice chasers with Elliott (assuming Delta Work is nailed on for the RSA)

Blow by Blow
Champagne Classic
Gun Digger

They also have Mortal for J O'Brien who mentioned 4 miler in his stable tour.

You have to think they haven't decided where each is going yet, and assuming they are all fit.

Blow by Blow would only have the four miler or Ultima as an option realistically.
Gun Digger has lowest handicap rating and is entered in everything.
Champagne Classic has Four miler and JLT realistically.

And it seems likely that Hardline and Mengli Kahn are coming over and will be split between arkle and JLT.

If they are all fit and ready to run then they'll slot them in at the last minute.

No idea really:p

Gigginstown Bingo

these could all change

Hardline - Arkle Plan A
Gun Digger - I like Quevega's best handicapped theory so maybe to plate ( but 4 miler an option ?)
MK - JLT ( but also has plate and Grand Annual options)
CC - 4 miler still plan A (but could drop in JLT if MK goes to a handicap)
DW - RSA Plan A (only goes down not up in trip imo)
Minds Eye - Close Plan A ?

With NRNB probably worth perming a few of the less obvious combos.

Hoping Duca De Thaix pops up somewhere too.:)
Prefer Annual but we're not gonna know for a bit are we.

Blow by blow could be well handicapped.

Only got the Ultima as option as well I think.
If fit then that must be his only option.

Think he might be really handicapped though:devilish:

Was at the Racehour preview in the Goat last night. Keith Donoghue was on the panel and said Percy has been schooling around Galway racecourse. Also said Jamie Codd would be riding Measureofmydreams, Champagne Classic, Envoi Allen and Ucello Conti.

Thank you.

That would lead you to believe Champagne Classic is still there NHC horse. But baffled by Gordon’s remarks about running Gun Digger in that race surely he wouldn’t have the class to win & would be better suited to a handicap. Would be unlike Gordon/Gigginstown to run one in a race that they would have little chance of winning.

Maybe they don’t want to blow the coup on gun digger?

I love these preview nights, part of the build up for the Main Event! But really is a lot of overload of Selections and information to take in! I sort of hope someone already backs up what I have and then go in again! I think alot of the oanels keep thier full cards to thier chest and only give a small piece of the picture. But there is the odd gem to keep your ear to the ground for! MARTELLO TOWER was one I got a few years back!

Ps: Fair play to all you guys sumarising the nights, keep up the good work.

The old adage is true BB..... Opinions are like A*seholes

sorry if ive missed this being said but is there a date for the betfair cheltenham preview? watched it last year and thought it was a good watch
