Cheltenham Bumper 2018

Looking forward to seeing Downtown Getaway, who changed hands for £350,000 at Cheltenham’s post-racing sale in December. Went to Hendo

It certainly does look hot. Giggingstown are giving a few they're last runs of the year inc. Rapid escape. Anything finishing infront of him will be noted. Rhinestone is interesting
village mystic formerly of mullins is entered up for giggi. Deffinately a tougher race than the champion bumper on paper atm. This is the giggi champion bumper, for young horses that get put away.

I'd be backing any non giggi winner for this race. . Or a 2nd to a giggi horse

Harrie goes at Gowran tomorrow for Mullins, has to win to book his ticket on the ferry.

Could prove to be a wise move to avoid the race. Im sure they could find an alternative prep run

They run plenty of schooling bumpers, as long as he's sound it wouldn't worry me 1 bit and Id be happy he avoided this race.

I woudlnt want to see rapid escape, dunvegan tailed off however unlikely that is.

Not mine. You never know until they hit the track but I don't see him losing tomorrow. 14/1 NRNB is a fair price.

Apparently Harrie can’t run in Cheltenham bumper as he’s raced in a Hurdle in France.

Can anyone clarify this ?
 
That's why I asked for 33/1 for the Supreme other week.

There's been talk about this on the Supreme site. It's being checked out but definitely need to be NRNB just in case.

I don't get how he could run. I know he's eligible for punchestown. But iv never seen a horse run over hurdles and in the champion bumper regardless of the date of the hurdles run. Maybe because its in a different province and outside of the UK. But would open up a can of worms as a loop hole. I'd be interested to find out either way.

Iv never thought he could run personally. But I can't clarify it. Id be 90% sure though.
 
Apparently he’s eligible in Ireland for bumpers but not here.

Is that a case to back him now at 14s. Hope he hacks up today then cashout for a profit if he’s cut?

Complete guess but he might be one for the punchestown bumper that cilaos emery won. He's obvs not eligible for the goffs landrover or any of the 3 festival championship bumpers.

Amazing how often there is such a difference between hype and reality. On that evidence he wouldn't have been too much value at 140/1 and he will be doing well to win A bumper. Winner looked a little green when first asked but knuckled down well and is probably worth a crack at something decent. It appears nobody knew.

Be interesting to see Brace Yourself run again if in the bumper on Sunday. Beat Dorydalis 24 lengths on debut
