Cheltenham April Meeting

I've got 2 for tomorrow.
3.35 Perfect Candidate which is a heart bet more than a head bet but this horse will win a major staying chase in the next year or so, I'm convinced they should have gone for a Scottish National or Whitbread because he could easily win tomorrow and get a 10lb hike which may stop him for a while.
Anyway, 9s e/w decent bet for me

4.10 Long House Hall, extra 3f will suit and he loves the bouncing ground, big field so will need luck but at 7/2 I'm happy having a nice e/w interest

Nice one Ista.:encouragement: I also had the forecast. :D

Well done Ista. Another nice price winner and a bigger SP than predicted :encouragement:

Cheers Gents, love the forecast LR !

I'm still of the view that the horse should have been held over for the Whitbread, todays run he got squeezed on the run to the first and had to be dropped right out the back, the horse wanted to travel quicker than Connor Shoemark wanted so he was taken 4 wide and would have traveled much further than the others, he had to go round everything and it was his jumping and stamina that won the day but I now think he'll go up 8lb which could be enough to stop him.
I can't tell you how much I stood to win on this one for the National, todays re-assessment means he will qualify next year but another decent performance before February and he could end up lumping over 11st which has proved impossible since the fence modifications.
Nice win but I can't help thinking there was a bigger prize on offer for him.

Long House Hall just ran flat from 2 out, he traveled well throughout got into a challenging position and at the top of the hill would have been a fairly short price in running, he came there tanking but when Harry pushed he found nothing, ignore the sprawled landing after the last he was well beaten by then.

Well done Ista :encouragement:

I wouldn't give up on LHH. I thought he was very unlucky with the timing of the rain today, he missed his last race because of soft ground and I am sure the ground started to cut up today on the second circuit.

I'm not so sure on the ground LR, the horse traveled so well for 2m 5f he looked all over the winner to me, it was only when he was asked for an effort that he was quickly beaten, I wouldn't be surprised if the horse has a breathing issue and he'll be on the list for Summer ops.
He was unraced before 6 so is there a history of fragility ?

Well punted Ista.:very_drunk:

Well done on a couple of nice winners this week lads, can't pick the horses out of a donkey line up at the mo myself
