Cheltenham 2019 Festival Going & Weather

Yes, they might get a bit wet getting on and off the ship

I set that one up for you Unexposed ha,but I remember having a good bet on Cousin Vinny years back for the Supreme and it didn't travel over well, was off its food and ran poor because of it but hey just worrying about everything now ha,need to go and lie down till 1.30 Tuedsay.

Just had a phonecall from someone connected to another racecourse. The predicted wind speeds are a huge concern and meetings have taken place. A constant wind speed above 32mph will put a days racing at risk due to issues with the temporary structures on the course.

What a rollercoaster year this has been.

Is there ever going to be anything positive for anyone to report :(

It's completely out of everyone's control so we'll just have to see how it plays out

Just got in to Cheltenham and it’s gorgeous sunshine. Can’t speak for Tuesday morning though!

Positive update from Claisse re. the wind

Still g/s (s in places) at 7.30 this morning.

just to back home and I can confirm there must have been a snow shower as the dusting we must have had was lying around. Bitterly cold

I’m looking forward to a bit of traditional weather. Get to give my new Barbour jacket a good testing. The weather a couple of years ago was no good for me. Boiling hot sun at the Cheltenham festival just doesn’t feel right.

Completely agree to the last bit. I'd take cold and wet over hot and sunny any day of the week.
