Has Venetia or Gordon any form with horses off a long lay off? I know Willie obviously does (Quevega, Bleu Berry, Acrtic Fire etc)

Prior to his last run he finished a 2 1/2 length 2nd to Waiting Paitently (who won cosily enough though), when WP was rated just 150, after being off the track for 250 days.

His 'worst' runs have been after a lay off, but this is only a small sample, as he is very lightly raced for his age.

Look, I'm not saying he's a cert, no horse is, but he will be my biggest e/way play of the festival, or is currently at least. I think he has a touch of class about him and Venetia has a very solid record in this race including winning it with Carrickboy after that one was pulled up before running in it, so she has history shall we say.

Can't comment on Gordon, as tbh I only take into account individual horses. I've no doubt Gordon has won with a horse after a long lay off before.

She's won race at least a couple of times and was second with tango de juilley who had been off for a year i think.
 
Do we know which race Gun Digger is heading to yet or best any race bet?

These days (quite rightly in my opinion) punters are not that concerned by 'glaringly obvious' breaks, particularly when said horse is a well backed favourite. Four out is long way from home and if the reason he dropped away so tamely was fitness - not a given - then it was a pretty shabby training performance. I would say the performance put a large dent in a promising profile. He now has to return to form in a better race.

Concerned? No. But I do take it into account for sure. Race fitness is different to work at home. As I've said before, my case is made for the horse on the correct race thread so I won't bother going over the same reasoning, if that's not good enough for you then fair enough, I am sure you will have other ideas on the potential winner and wish you all the best with it too :)

Though I would have a few NR's by now, but all of my selections so far run in the races I picked, the prices are coming down 25s to 16s, 10s to 7s, 8s into 6s and I hope Fanfan Du Seuil could be my dark horse, so I am getting a little be excited..

Also in a lot of the preview nights 5 out of the 6 has had a good word for them..

I think it come to 4 million for the win, so I looking around at villas as I type... but I would be happy with 10k if they all placed.

You must have spread it about because there isn't a bookie it there that'll pay you £4m

I know, its with ladbrokes and I truly do not think for 1s I would get 6 winners, but if by some miracle it did happen, I would be very happy with what every they pay me :)

Unfortunately not this year FM, have my wedding coming up soon that meant I couldn't get the free pass from the boss :highly_amused:

Hopefully all of our dreams are still alive at this point, not sure we will be saying that by next friday night.. if we all get a few winnings and have a enjoyable 4 days, I am sure everyone will be happy here.. and good work to everyone over the past 12 months for giving their selections and write ups, for me personally it's been helpful..
