Cheltenham 2019 Ante-Post bets

Scooby is well known for taking strong positions in races. You can see his reasoning for CE in the Arkle thread. He’s not always right (who is?) but he flagged up CE early in the season, and there must be a reasonable chance that he could go fav (and yes possibly even a hotpot) in a race where the top 2 in the market have already been beaten.

I also appreciate Scooby regularly sharing his book with us on this thread. Yes, he does a bit of cashing out and laying as he goes, which he normally flags, and I find it informative

I don't really care for forum politics and anyone can post what they want, I just found itnteresting he is so keen on Cilaos Emery, given he's not been seen. I'm all for Cheltenham talk anyway, the more, the better and fair play to whoever backs antepost, we all have dog rough bets and good ones, it's all part of the fun.

You really think Cilaos Emery will be a hotpot in the Arkle? He's hardly much better then what's in there to be honest.

I think he'll be fav imo. Obviously needs to run beforehand.
he's considerably better over hurdles than what's there at the moment. He took the step up into open company. Personally think he'll improve for a fence, though shouldnt need to imo.

Late night betting ?
I'd normally say that's not advisable,
but I'd imagine there's a few looney layers knocking about having caned something.
Which makes you a nocturnal predator.

seen PM entered at dublin in a chase as well - error by me, maybe not, meant ryanair (knew i'd seen it somewhere)

I was waiting up for my boosts to renew at midnight to back master dino. Just incase his price was cut before i woke up in the morning.

Wish I diddnt now. :highly_amused:

There is an element that as soon as he does win, he'll be made 'auto-fav'.

If he wins the Irish Arkle he's definitely going to be a hot-pot ...

I'm hopeful he wins both... but respect Le Richebourg. That's the only one though I've seen in Ireland that is interesting so far and we're running out of time.

I do think Draconien would have been a huge player in this year's Arkle... but can't back that up.

when people do this properly they keep all bets and document the outcome of every bet eg traded for loss/profit, cash out for loss/profit, loser and so on. none of this deleting bad bets posting good bets at the best best time. observers like myself will see a perfect clean book its misleading when you can edit posts when it suits.

I dont get what bad bets iv deleted. Iv just showed you the receipt of one id aparrently made up. According to yourself.
Fwiw I only post that for my own reference.
Iv a good few bad bets there, id love to get rid of.

I think I can edit other people's posts... now that could be fun:highly_amused:

I also second that anyone who can give decent shouts for horses in double figures fair dues it’s all abit of fun
Took your advice on cilaos emery 20/1 with angels breath 6/1 £20 double ladbrokes looking forward to watching the run on Saturday now

I agree, just a bit rash with your critique today I thought.

I think hed be close to fav, if not Fav, just for winning that race on Sat in good fashion.

He's 20/1 Or 22/1 boosted atm.
What would he be if he won each....

Maybe 4/6 sat.
11/8 Irish arkle
7/4 arkle

Is that realistic?
I think it is.
Could even be odds on all 3 If you really wanted to push it.

It depends whether the 'colours' and general profile stop him getting over bet?

The 'masses' might not cotton on as quickly as there aren't really any really high profile horses in those colours. Uncle Junior?

Not saying that is right, but may be a factor?

Bleu Berry, winner at the festival last season, but get where you are coming from, definitely will be a factor as he's not in pink and green or green & gold.

Could well be a factor in terms of going real short.
If klassical dream was annamix, hed be fav for instance. (Not saying he should be)

Must admit I'll be suprised IF he did run at the weekend, and he's not fav by the end of the day.

Don't think even in ricci or jp colours KD would be fav- but i get the theory.

Not sure where to ask this but...

What Podcasts do people listen to?

I listen to FFP, Sportinglife, RP, Matchbook and Off the Ball.

Have I missed any for my daily hour work commute?

Are you just interested in sports podcasts Innoko?

On the hunt and Monday night review are two racing podcasts. The jumps racing podcast is another.

Sportinglife is my favourite, the right level of info and humour. It's entertaining.

Yes just sporting podcasts!

Brilliant, thanks for the speedy replies. Can't believe I've been missing some each week!
