Cheltenham 2018 Ante post bets

Yes, he looks like he'll jump a fence. And he seems to have speed to go with it. Unfortunately it'll be half the price it should be just by the colours on the jock

Did a bit of anaylsis on the state of my Antepost Bets.
269 pts staked (across 156 bets)
50 pts in NR (18.9%), but more importantly, only 15 pts of CASH in NR

Why is it that Antepost bets always look better now than they do at the end of the festival?!?
I'm sure that I've got at least 500 pts coming back to me :highly_amused:

With Skybet lads.. basically have the favs in them races which im pretty confident on but just a little saver on horses who i see as BIG dangers

Off the top of my head. The place part of an ew treble is about 30-1 (ish) . Better off doing that, for fear they actually won 😀
 
A bet on Don't Touch It in the Grand Annual takes my 2018 bets to....

1001 pts staked :triumphant: (525 bets)
167 pts confirmed non runners which is 16.68 % of my bets. (Crept up from 14.49%)
 
Just looking back at last year's race and horses that impressed me visually were.

Road to Respect. Travelled and jumped like a horse that was enjoying himself . Won by a wide margin .

Cause of Causes . Won like a horse well above the rest

Tiger roll.again Impressive

Penhil . Clearly loved the good ground and I liked the way he won going away at the end.

All will be on my short list as will Tully East
 
My Book for Cheltenham is full.. I think I am pretty pleased with it, I'll see next Friday evening if I am feeling the same.

I think I have done ok with the prices, I know a lot of them are shorties unlike most antipost backer here but I normally only back horses after a run or two. I have a few dogs but hopefully most will make the starting post and hopefully I will get a run for my money. I could see me getting two or three winners but touch wood a few more and in the same bet would be nice..

Plus I will be doing the Fatjockey Yankees each day for fun..

The World Hurdle is a race I like, I've always had a reasonably strong opinion on it pre Christmas. And fortunately over the years it's a race I've been lucky enough to do quite well in. This year though I'm really struggling to form an opinion. Any opinion really, never mind a strong one. Interested to hear peoples theories on the race. And I'm glad I took the plunge and started posting. This is a good place to be. No animosity and many people I feel are worth listening too. So once again thankyou for letting me join this awesome little community.
