Cheltenham 2017 Antepost Bets

Lets Dance, Min, Faugheen, Annie Power, Getabird, Death Duty, Unowhatimeanharry In 4folds and up shows how most of my bets have ended up!!!

Ouch. Least you've got a very nice looking yankee going for you with 2 and a bit weeks to go. Here's hoping it comes in for you and everyone else :triumphant:

Thanks Jono, a bit of a sod but nothing like the Mullins fiasco of last year:grumpy:yep 20 days so still plenty of time for more heartache ::devilish:

A lot of people contemplating whether VVM or Limini run in mares or CH, just to put it out there I see Limini in the mares and VVM possibly in the stayers again, thought that was her target initially with Limini/Annie in the Mares with Faugheen in the CH, feel willies only runners in the CH now will be Nichols canyon and Footpad

I think Limini Mares and VVM Stayers looks the most obvious, even though I cannot see how VVM can overturn UNWIMH.

However I just can't see Ruby being ok to let the CH go by without a solid chance in the race. Fair enough if there was a standout in the race in another yard (Altior in the Arkle for instance) but in such an open year surely Limini (my pick) or VVM will be running in it (or Yorkhill :disgust:)

I just can't see Ruby being happy to have Nichols canyon and Footpad as his options in the race...

Right at the start of the season they said VVM will be the super sub again, fitting in where Faugheen and Annie Power don't go.

They don't go for the CH. At times during the season I thought she'd go Stayers (but only if Annie went in the Mares).... that ain't happening so the stayers won't even get considered. They've got Shaneshill, who has solid enough claims. VVM wouldn't overturn UNWIMH so might as well let Shaneshill run on for second, rather than VVM get a 'closer 2nd'?

Ricci ever even had a runner in the stayers? ... as the owner of the prev 2 winners, I'd say its 1/10 that he has a runner in the CH

Annie Power just beaten by More of That in 2014

Oh yes. Had put that one firmly out of my mind :very_drunk: - even so... can't imagine that is his favourite race, given what happened in it. I'd also go with the largly moot point, that VVM isn't better than AP over any distance, so wouldn't be winning this either.

Had a life changer around Christmas Time that i'm quite excited about.

£1.50 each way yankee (£33):

Peregrine Run @ 33/1 - Neptunes.
Western Ryder @ 25/1 - Bumper.
Acapella Bourgeois @ 40/1 - RSA.
Native River @ 12/1 - Gold Cup.

Returns:
£835k for the win.
£4k for the place.

Unfortunately for that bet Peregrine Run isn't in the Neptune any more :grumpy:

Coral Cup or Albert Bartlett

I've just seen on another thread, bit gutting.

Looking at pricing up another life changer as we speak!

Shocking bad luck that jkite. Great effort and hope you make a few quid still.

Why don't you have a little bit on Peregrine Run at 33/1 NRNB for the Coral Cup? If the ground is somewhere between good and good to soft on the second day I think this race might be ideal.

Breaking my own rule about McManus horses being overbet

Le Prezien @ 14/1 GA
Hargam @ 33/1 County
For Good Measure @ 14/1 Pertemps
Dolos @ 16/1 Fred W
Hammersly Lake @ 16/1 Novice Handicap
Lucky 31, 31*bets * £1.00 *E/W
£2 Million

Need more prices so back to work for a while :p

After seeing Alary at 66/1 I thought I'd have a speculative EW Lucky 15

Alary Ryanair 66/1
Tizzard "I think Alary will go for the Ryanair Chase. I think he is a live player. He is a man of a horse.
Balko Des Flos JLT 50/1
HdB "He’s in great form and is going to run in the JLT Novices’ Chase at the Cheltenham Festival".
Ordinary World Arkle 50/1
HdB "We freshened him up after his last run at Christmas and he’s in super form now. The plan is to run in the Arkle at Cheltenham."
Western Ryder Bumper 12/1 - Doesn't need a quote :encouragement:, I just wanted a horse at an each way price that was a confirmed target

£516,767.34 when this romps in :highly_amused: .... only £2k if they place. (Quotes are from the ATR minisite if anyone wants to read them in more detail)

I am already on Ordinary World at that price but I can't see the sense in not entering him in the Grand Annual. He would have had chances in that race but like everything else he isn't in the same parish as Altior. Got to hope nothing takes Altior on and we get a single figure field. Even then there is a fair chance that the Tuesday ground will be softer than ideal for Ordinary World.

I have 2 of the Skybet specials, this one (glad it is still live anyway) and UKWIMH (Stayers) Lets Dance (Mares Novice) and Defi Du Seuil (Triumph) all to win @90/1

Hoping Lets Dance goes for the Novice Hurdle.

Has anyone got an opinion on charming zen, whooped appasionado (134) on his 2nd outing, Skelton has entered him in the supreme 25/1 an Neptune 33/1 surely has to progress from that. I would appreciate any ideas

Maybe they've looked back at how close he got to IT on IT's second run and though he would have a place chance?

I am surprised too though.

Hiya all, going crazy here with this bet but think I've got reason enough for a EW Yankee. Here Goes!!!
Charming zen 25/1 supreme,
Traffic fluide 40/1 CC
Peace and co 25/1 county
Champagne west 16/1 gold cup
0.2 point EW Yankee win 1/2 mil win
2.5k place is only what I'm hopefully anticipating
