Champion Hurdle 2020

The Ladbrokes hurdle sounded like it was the target and he has an entry.

I'll have to keep my eye out for early prices on that, I think I fancy him even this far out.

20/1 available Kev - race has changed to the Betfair Exchange Trophy.

Yep, I want him on side for whichever handicap he ends up in I think

Thanks, hadn't seen that change.

Always relectant to take 4 places when I know 6+ will be available on the day.

Will think about it over the weekend.

He's a win only bet for me at this stage and I'll probably back him again if he turns up.

Betfair/PP have pushed Saldier out further to 7/1 today - and last matched price on exchange is 16.

Eldorado Allen and Elixir Du Nutz both worked at Newbury on Sunday, the morning after the Ladbrokes Trophy. Both horses have an entry in the two-mile handicap hurdle at Ascot in a couple of weeks’ time.

We thought Elixir Du Nutz was the less fit of the two, but he then worked like the fitter horse at Newbury. It is amazing how those gallops do tighten them up. We just want to make sure, and if we need to give them another week, we’ve come this far, so we will. It will make sense to be patient as wherever we run them first time up it will be very competitive.

We’ll work them again next week and see where we are with them. At this stage I suspect we will send Elixir Du Nutz to Ascot and wait a little longer with Eldorado Allen.

We need to learn a bit more about Eldorado Allen, but we’ll start him off over two miles and I think he can be competitive off 145. Elixir Du Nutz is rated 153 and we are going to try and make him into a Champion Hurdle horse.

Quick Grabim now with Fergal O’Brien is preparing him for a stint at the champion hurdle.

Thought best in here obviously, thought a few had him going over fences.

Didn’t even know he had moved yards.

Thanks for the update Craig. I like Quick Grabhim but I’m a bit deflated knowing he’s left Mullins. It’s doesn’t fill me with much confidence

Due to the owner living in England and never getting to go see him race apparently

Summerville Boy 150/1 E/W, can't see why connections would continue over fences after that jumping display. Had close enough form end of last season with Buveur D'air to make 150/1 a bit of a joke price IMO

Stayers Cod FFS.
He's slow and dopey

Coral Cup?

yep, possibly, although his jumping wouldn't be ideal on that course.
From memory, isn't there more hurdles in the last mile compared to stayers.
can't be arsed to look though.

Coral Cup?

Not impossible. But i cant see why he'd revert just yet, hes a novice, he fell. Its not like hed be a winner in waiting for graded races over hurdles. Re coup try him over 2 1/2 over fences.

I wouldn't back him for anything I don't think he's very good. Just more likely to win a handicap than a grade 1 over hurdles.

Heavy ground is the only thing that'd ever tempt me to back him I think

He couldn't jump hurdles, and is slow.
His only chance is hurdles over a staying trip.
But he's more than likely not very good too.
I'd back him at 66-1 plus for the stayers
