Champion Hurdle 2020

Petit Mouchoir is a decent e/w bet at high odds imo, as let's be honest, no one knows whats going to happen in this race. None seem to stands out. I think there's value in this race as well as the Marsh/jlt.

I'd like to see petit mouchoir v silver streak pre chelt. And how that would fare.

I think petit mouchoir is probably running to the mid 150s. But it's hard to tell in all honesty how the 2 form lines compare definitively.

Now I think 89.0 is value for Petit Mouchoir even though I doubt he'll win. But just to let members know, until recently he was popping up regularly in the 200s if anyone is interested in backing I'd monitor this

Another one regularly at a huge price is Chtibello. Yeah very doubtful to win but with previous festival form, could have won the International if he hadn't belted the last, and 409/1 is 409/1

I'd side with PM in that battle. I think he's running as well as he ever has tbh.

I’m more than happy with 89.0 tbh even if he eventually doesn’t run.

As COD says, I think he’s running lose to or above his previous best and he’s a previous champion Hurdle 3rd.

I did look at him (think he was 480.0 yesterday) but expect he will be in a handicap again after last years success.

Yes exactly, I really like the horse. Could be there or thereabouts, hope he springs a surprise for you

I’ve taken a small chance on cornerstone lad for this at 33/1. He beat bvd lto (bvd possible excuses with the splinter in the finish), was a pretty good front running ride.

Entered at haydock for the ch trial which will more than likely be soft which he seems to relish. If he comes out on top in the race he could become a serious contender, especially if taking the scalp if Henderson enters fusil or pentland.

Getaway Trump has had a wind op and hoping to be back for Scottish champion hurdle so highly unlikely to be seen here

A bit of a waste of his Novice Chase season if he did?

One to consider though.... the 20/1 NRNB is probably fair?

I hope Melon stays novice chasing this season so we can see how good he is but he was available at 130/1 on the exchange’s for this race the other day. Only win option available but still a massive price.

Champ at 100/1is appealing. He would have a chance in the race though would still have the hill question mark but at those odds he would be worth chancing.

I will kick myself when Nicky makes the impending announcement of the switch.

Stop it ET!!!! lol. Sure your just trying to wind us up with the "hill" debate getting another airing!!! With connections having the fav, it surely wont even be under consideration?? Stayers I could see if next run is a disaster.

If theres one race JP McCmanus loves to win its the Champion Hurdle. If he feels Champ would have a chance then he could run him.
Neither McManus or Henderson are scared of having multiple runners in this race.

Both Nicky and JP know that the champ hurdle is no place for girls. You cant seriously expect them to rely solely on a filly for the race they crave. They need champ.

im not biting!!! Im not biting, Im not biting. Forget the "hill" debate, let it go, let it go!

Buveur D'air was 2 wins from 2 over fences. He picked up his 2nd chase win on boxing day and was considered a certainty to be chasing at the festival. Nicky then ran him ina listed hurdle in February and won the champ hurdle in March.
These connections have history and removing the 20 fences greatly improves his chances. He may finally improve if he has a go over 2 miles.

Not sure I'd fancy Champ at 100/1 even if I knew he was running.

Obviously I'd back him at 100/1 if I knew he was running, but that's not the point.

With Epatante heading the market, they wouldn't even consider switching the RSA fav to a CH.

100/1 isn't value. Move on and kick yourself if Epatante gets injured and you're too slow.
