Champion Hurdle 2020

Sending EA here may be tempting but see little chance of it happening myself. Even in what now looks a weaker division, why step out of novice company into deeper waters when a more festival race is there for the taking?

Differing reports on twitter re BD, hence posting here rather than out for season

Some reporters (eg - Emmet Kennedy) say likely out for season now....on Unibet blog, NH giving no def time period, but does suggest long time

It's been done before - Alderbrook was a novice when he won the champion hurdle.

EA is not going to spend a second season over hurdles so this will be his only opportunity to run in itand the race looks crap, as things stand.

Unlikely to happen but wouldn't surprise me if it did.

Nicky doesn't want to say he's out for season yet as JP's crew will be trying to lay him off!

I don’t think Willie or Gordon were running scared of BD in the first place and for me the race is no more crap with the omission of an arguably regressive past champion. If anything it improves the hand of the opposition so why start panicking now and reroute other horses to this. Think Gordon will end up having a live chance anyhow with Couer Sublime and I’m very tempted to add him to my book now.

This might sound little mad, but how about Epatante for this?

Can get 33s......and was seriously impressed today, specially with speed at finish....and 2m maybe better than 2.5m in Mares

If forget last festival (flu jab?), very highly regarded and prob only needs to find 7-10 pounds to win. Owner has amazing CH record

Could be wide open year and might be one to have little on in book

Just to make this case more. NH on Luck on Sunday def not ruling it out.....specially with BD now almost certainly out

RPR was 150 (plus 7 allowance) puts her right in there along with KD, etc

Crucially NH saying she is def a 2 miler....so Mares maybe wrong race

33/1 with Unibet (the standout price) tells me all I need to know for now.
They'd not be biggest price if it was on the cards now.

Things can change, but her 2m Cheltenham festival form isn't anywhere near good enough to get me thinking she's a player, even at 33/1.

To conclude, won't run and not good enough anyway :p

There market has been suspended all day tbf. Which would make a big difference.

But I wouldnt particularly disagree.

Actually waiting for it to re open as marginally considering a wild one, on supasundae EW.

Agree. No need to do it this year. 2021 winner for me. Any prices anywhere on EA for 2021 Churdle?

Chaser.

Massive, massive chaser.

If Gordon Elliott hasn't learnt his lesson from Samcro, Chev Park should move Envoi Allen over to Enda Bolger.

Totally different horse to Samcro for me. Wouldnt be surprised if he stays over hurdles myself.

Totally different???!!! We're not on the same page today CCM, usually are :highly_amused:

The below couldn't remind me of Samcro any more....

Elliott, who was recording a 24th victory at The Festival overall, said: “Envoi Allen is a very nice horse.
“We have always thought a lot of him and he did well to win. He is a horse for the future and we are delighted with his win today.
“He go novice hurdling next year. He is going to end up being a three-mile chaser one day and the future is very exciting with him.”

Got to come here. She is talented

If I had 365 and fancied her tomorrow, I'd be backing her for the CH at 40's right now, on multiple lines, ready to cash out some for profit and to be sat on potentially a nice ante post ticket.

I did this whenever Quevega said it a week or so ago.

Good shout Q, think a lot of people are on this.

She'd wallop Envoi Allen :p

Me too. Chucked another point on when he got backed in today
