Champion Bumper ‘25

….Mullins;

’
Gameofinches looked like a horse that could be destined for much better things, winning the bumper very easily without Patrick having to extend him in any shape or form.

He's a real big chasing type and looks the part and there's a good chance that all being well, he will head for the bumper in the Cotswolds.’

Must have been a few fat jockeys got on, 16s now 18 with boost

Aqua Force is now with Willie bought by JP

Bay Of Freedom was first to break the news that Willie was her new trainer a couple of weeks ago. Spot on. :eagerness:

Chirst I've got some no hopers still entered :cower:

I’ve had a complete lack of insight and inspiration this season. I’ve just backed Gordon’s gigginstown horses. I can’t keep up with these weekly Mullins bumper superstars

I feel like kalypsochance is the forgotten horse and a lot of recency bias is for those at the top of the market. If he put up the performances he did in the few weeks rather than at the start of the season pretty much, I think he'd be much shorter. He's the E/W banker of the meet imo

Not sure I agree he can be an each way banker :hopelessness::beaten:

You're saying there is no way there are 3 horses that could finish in front of him, whilst he's 7/1

For starters, there are 3 horses already shorter in the market that will likely run

If you can't find a 7/1 shot with a better chance of placing than Kalypso'chance I think you're going to struggle :barbershop_quartet_member:

The bumper as well, feck me.

I'm not meaning to be disrespectful at all, I just think this is nonsense :love_heart:

For example on the same day I'd give better 'banker each way shouts' to Marine Nationale and The Yellow Clay

and FWIW I agree with the forgotten horse and the recency bias .... it's more just that the bumper is fucking impossible :culpability::triumphant:

You'll be getting extra places on the day and I don't think he will be a much different price to what he is now in my opinion. I'm a big RPR person and he's up there with the best in the race game of opinions of course but I cannot see him out of the first 3!

Yep, fair enough

I don't not like him and you're right he'll be a similar price

Was just being pedantic about the fact he's not an ew banker relative to other markets logically

But there is more to this fans than them finishing in SP order of course

Best of luck with him!

Patrick really ought to have some idea if Willie's are better than Kalypsochance... And I suspect he thinks they are. But he talks a load of shite so you can't really tell.

Two words from Patrick ref best Bumpers "You Proof"..............dont listen to a word he says.

Don't forget the 'Kopek Des Bordes is a nice horse - we think he's more of a staying novice hurdler; maybe two and a half or three miles will be his trip'.....
At least only 50% wrong :dejection:.

…..Mullins;

Kaiser Ball put in a very good performance to win the bumper on the same card. He was settled at the rear of the field by Thomas Costello and came through with a lovely even run. He would look like he could go the whole way to be a top-class horse over hurdles and fences with his pedigree. The sire may not be a well-known name in Ireland, but his stats really back up from a small book of mares. He looks like he could step into any of the top-class bumpers for the rest of the season including at Cheltenham.

We were very impressed with Aqua Force who won the bumper in Gowran a couple of weeks ago and she impressed enough that JP McManus stepped in and bought her. She looks a decent prospect to have for jumping in the future.
