Bit of fun to pass the time, what in your opinion is the best Festival race of the last 10ish years? "Best" as in being of the highest quality, not the one you enjoyed the most. Altho that would be interesting too.

For me its got to be Altiors Supreme. That race alone has thrown up-

1 x Arkle winner (altior)
2 x Champion Chase winner (altior)
1 x Ryanair winner (min)
2 x Champion Hurdle winner (buveur d'air)
1 x Coral cup winner (supasundae)
1 x Irish Champion Hurdle winner (Petit Mouchoir)
1 x Punchestown Gold Cup (Bellshill)

probably some other winners in there ive forgotten. Pretty impressive roll of honour

Sprinter Sacre, Cue Card, Al Ferof was a good Supreme too, with SS being EASILY the best horse to ever come out of the race you could argue that it deserves a mention.

Just watched back Altior's supreme. The first thing to hit me was that despite all the quality in the race, I was clutching a 50/1 ticket for Penglai Pavillion. Not sure what I was thinking at the time. Will take some solace in it being 'value' as the SP was 28/1 !!

Supasunsae and Buvuer also have the Aintree Hurdle on thier CVs. I think going on with that form and what horses went on to achieve it would be hard to beat!

Champagne fever’s bumper had the new one, Jezki, many clouds and villiage Vic in behind. Imagine there will be a couple of other bumpers that have produced some gooden’s too.

His Supreme was top class too.

Politilogue’s Melling chase win over Min in 2018 was some battle and as a spectacle up there...

it was indeed. Speaking of Melling chase battles do you remember Voy Por Ustedes just getting the better of Schindlers Hunt in 2009? I cant seem to find a video for it but remember them going at it all the way up the aintree home straight.

Envoi Allens bumper, whilst already looking very strong - could be a real class race to look back on in a few years

Oops didn't read that right thought he was talking about envois ballymore. Blue sari cost me a fair few antepost tickets last year

I have a feeling the form of this years Albert Bartlett is going to be strong obviously not “best race ever” but as time goes on i think itll prove strong also one fresh in the mind this year was simply the betts imperial aura then on the slopes winning a week after cheltenham

I'd go along with that race, absolutely stunning encounter, and it could quite possibly produce several winners next March......Thyme Hill , Monkfish, Fury Road , Latest Exhibition, Aione all very much fancied and high up in AP lists for multiple races.

Yeah i really do like fury road for the RSA he enjoys a trip and id imagine hell improve for a fence hes going to be my starting point for the race! I was on board the latest exhibition train this year but i cant see him being much of a chaser? Same with thyme hill

Thyme Hill is going Stayers according to connections. Big player in that

Faugheens 2014 Ballymore race produced 4 subsequent Festival winners...... Faugheen Churdle, Ballyalton Close Brothers, Rathvinden NHC and Cole Harden Stayers. Wowsers!
