Ballymore Novice Hurdle 2020

Envoi allen is now priced up at 4/7 for the 2m5 at Naas. Some big prices in behind if anyone is of the opinion he dosent run.

The Big Breakaway certainly has no penalty kick tomorrow at Newbury. I'm still expecting him to win but I was going to mention the Henderson inmate, Craigneiche, in the Spud Race thread who opposes him tomorrow. I K Brunel is better than his last showing on soft ground although he has to carry a penalty too. Papa Tango Charly was even more expensive that The Big Breakaway but has yet to produce it on the track.

I K Brunel clearly must show an awful lot at home. Dissapointed a few times now but always aimed high and touted all over the place so he must come good one day.

I'll be very disappointed if the big breakaway doesn't win tomorrow, and win well, his opening run screamed the ballymore to me, and I think he'll be right amongst it.

I dont get the bartlett chat, i don't think he looked a bartlett horse what so ever. I know its tizzard but he now has robbie powers feedback behind him, hes a 360k 4yo who travels well behind the bridle and was asked for nothing, the last thing you'd do is put him in the albert Bartlett imo.

Absolutely agree Scooby. The Bartlett is not a race I would be looking at any horse aged 5 (after January) winning, its been won by a five year old once in a decade (by a 33/1 shot), and I would much favour those with more age and experience for the 3 miler.
The Big Breakaway goes here, in the Ballymore, if he carries on his upward trajectory, and he could quite easily go single figures for the race with an expanded distance win at Newbury.

Depending on How it runs between now and March they'll probably go Ballymore with Breakaway.
But can't imagine it winning that so I backed for bartlett after it ran the last day.
Pretty sure they think he's a future staying chaser.
we'll see tomorrow.

If Envoi does come here as expected it's really hard to fancy anything else to win and even harder to back anything else against him. Anything other than a bet on Envoi would feel like a wasted bet to me.

It's a good each way market, and should continue to be.
And if he gets beat in January, or is really pressed ?

He’s due to run in a listed hurdle at Exeter over 2m next and then Cheltenham. Given his debut performance I’d be surprised if that resulted in a step up and a gruelling race in the AB. They’ll have one eye on next season and rightly so. He’s top of my novice chase shortlist already.

listed hurdle after tomorrow's race ?

Jackie ?
Do you really buy the gruelling race thing ?
Running one race over half a mile further, before 6 months rest ?
Fair enough if they're thinking championship novice races at Aintree and Punchestown, but if they think it's more for the next season then let it have a jog round in the bartlett. It's much more of a race for the ones for next year I reckon. They can always pull up if they get tired.

To be fair.
Whether you buy it or not.
The Tizzards don't anyway.

If they think he's a classy horse with any degree of speed they'll not be firing him in an AB. Sounds like he's a bit of a unit in size as well.

Yep. I agree.
Not sure he is that type though.
whatever distance they run him at in next few months.

Ended up in bartlett though didn't he ?

Yes. I mentioned that a few pages back. But this horse is different in my opinion and has the speed for the Ballymore.

He’s a big gorgeous thing but very athletic. He may end up over staying distances next season but his class can make him competitive over shorter this season. He’s a half brother to Kildisart and he ran over middle distances as a novice hurdler too.
