Marine Nationale did win a bumper at Killarney at the end of August before switching to hurdles, culminating in winning the Supreme. Telmesomethinggirl was 3rd in the listed novice at the Galway Festival before winning the Mares Novice in the same season. Obviously not a common route and fairly rare with the performance well factored in to her current price.

Champ Kiely has not won at Cheltenham yet in fact has only run once I think but he started at Galway.

You’ve got the obvious Lossie and Gaelic for CH and Gold Cup as the cornerstones.

Then you’ve got the likes of Magnifico Conti Arkle (or CH), He’s On Fire for Browns (or Arkle), Selma or Charme for the Mares Hurdle, Witches Familiar for the Mares Novice, Chic Me, Dnipro or Momentum of Love for Triumph, sure there’s plenty more juveniles and novices Jim could throw up as well.
 
I may well bend @darlojim ear for a steer, it's been a while since we had a winner..weeks at least :D
 
Only issue with having a Triumph horse in the yankee is only hills and unibet pricing the race, but if everyone has access to one or other then that's great, Hills being much better priced for the Triumph horses.

Looking at the triumph market, I'd rule out a fair few to start with

- Mahadevi
- Huron Bleu
- Endorsement
- In Between Days


Be shocked if any of those ended up in the race

The ones from the Spring bunch that we've seen that I'd personally focus on are:

Chic Me
Nathalie Jolie
Momentum of Love
Rare et Precieux
Interstellar
Dnipro

Breaking them down

Chic Me - Very good professional debut, snapped up early by WP/Ricci. In running times from hurdle around the bend to the line reads well with the Nicolle Grandak winner Nom d'un chien who he rates very highly. She will definitely be popular once the markets open up winning the 'lossiemouth' race and being a grey also. Can see her being backed into fav myself after willie no doubt talks her up in the tours. 20/1

Nathalie Jolie - Hendo and JP. Learnt on the job as the race progressed, jumping improved albeit still jumped little bold and touch out to the right, showed nice gears in the straight. 2nd and 3rd bought since by willie and joseph so form must be nicely liked. Being UK horse, could easily pick up races and price will likely only go one way if she performs how they hope she will. 20/1

Momentum of Love - WP/Ricci. Loved her on debut, really really took the eye, how she travelled from the end of the back straight, briefly looked in trouble on very deep ground but ended up nicely on top at the line with the front 2 pulling 20L clear. Can she replicate that on nicer ground? by Great Pretender. 25/1

Rare et Precieux - Gordon/Robcour. Won the 1st juvenile race @ Compiegne getting up against Noel and Amandas Magic des Charmes who is now a listed winning juvenile winning the Prix Stanley. They went pretty slow throughout the race but being a full brother to Teahupoo, he did show nice turn of foot to nail MDC on the line. Suspect he will no doubt end up in the Down Royal juvenile in early November. 33/1

Interstellar - WP/Ricci. Unbeaten in 2 starts, looked like 1m7 was as sharp as he'd want when winning his 2nd start after looking briefly outpaced coming into the home straight but stayed on stoutly to beat Supreme Light. He didn't do much for the form in the Prix Aguado behind Huron Bleu and the form is yet to be fully tested. 33/1

Dnipro - WP/Ricci. Ex andre Fabre gelding that was seen once when winning off the front end in Saint Cloud over a mile and a half in the hands of Alexi Pouchin. Really professional debut, knew his job and stuck on very gamely when it looked like the 2nd was coming to nab him, he actually won a touch cosy in the end. He's by Galiway and does give me a little bit of Vauban vibes about him. Slight worry maybe that he's obviously still a novice, and with WP/Ricci having a nice hand of juveniles, could this one be held back for a novice hdle campaign, maybe one to look out for in the tours. 40/1


If I were forced to say my #1 prospect at the minute, I'd probably edge with Chic Me. She has all the makings of a lovely filly in the making and 20/1 is 'fair' with the caveat that it is the fucking Triumph and who knows what rockets will appear in Auteuil in the Autumn that we could see over here.

I like the idea of Kitz Gold cup and Lulamba Ryanair. Not a bad start for a Yankee imo.
Both could well improve and become much shorter prices as the season progresses.
Ryanair is tough to call the runners let alone the winner this early, and it’s probably not the best race to select at this stage,but at least prices of some reflect that.
 
…..getting up to the pointy end of the month and we haven’t really offered much up for @EnvoiAlien.

To be fair, it’s a difficult time of the year with not much about to inform chat but let’s know if you have any suggestions.
 
Golden Ace for the Mares at 20s feels big doesn't make sense going the CH if Lossie turns up again, last year quote was still for the CH for 2027 however surely the Mares could be a good option with Cheltenham form and up in trip.

I guess the option here is to include it with Lossiemouth for the Champion Hurdle, as there is surely a good chance Golden Ace will switch if Lossie is there again.

Cracking value IMO

Every chance she runs here if getting to the Festival…….on ratings has every chance and has beaten both BDA and JDG in the Mares novice a few seasons ago.

Questions around a few at the front of the market…..

Wodhooh….Stayers?
BDA…..will she run at the Festival based upon Gordon’s rhetoric?
Lossiemouth……100% CH entry
PDN…..end of season springer but needs to prove beating Wodhooh and JDG wasn’t a fluke
JDG….Mares Chase?
