Arkle 2019

LR May have been based on O’Brien interview tonight on Sky Racing ... although I have no idea what he said..lol
Interview was breaking up on me too
Definitely mentioned good ground
He does appear on his form to be ground dependent
Wouldn’t want it soft

Could you tell if he said Arkle though ? Another race was mentioned..

Pretty sure he said that even though he has won at 2 1/2 miles that the Arkle was the target

Also said this at the media preview for the Dublin Racing Festival

Only Voix Du Reve for Mullins in Irish Arkle

That will be just to confirm he is his JLT horse I suspect.

His campaign has been very similar to that of Felix Yonger who was for the same connections, but could only manage 4th in the JLT, but VDR has shown better form leading up to this prior to the festival than that one.

Thanks COD- didn’t think they’d be up yet

Re. VDR here, he’s just not got anything else that can run no?

Andy Holding has done a preview of the Arkle.

Surprising choice...

Kalashnikov 7/1

Is chesterfield injured? Noticed he’s been removed from the betting on a few sites. Not that I fancied him here was thinking more grand annual

Watched replays of contenders today and think the Irish hold the two trump horses
Kalashnikov has a great engine but jumping fluency and pace are questionable?

Sorry, should of read all your quote before replying

If Sandown off does Geraghty ride Le Richebourg in Dublin?
Personally liked the positive ride Mark Walsh gave it
9/4 could look big?

Puppy Power jocked up on Paloma Blue which presumably means Bryan Cooper has lost the Chris Jones gig. Think the horse is one of few left at a backable price. Supreme form hasnt really worked out but Henry DB Horses often improve as chasers.

I'd probably give Mengli Khan a second glance if I thought about Paloma Blue for too long

MK for me, is going to become a horse that isn't in love with Leopardstown. Paloma Blue is one of those horses with a massive engine that needs to fix his jumping. I'd prefer to have that sort of room for improvement angle and at 9s i think i'd agree with Mayo.

At their respective Arkle prices or for the weekend?

I have been disappointed with Paloma Blue and think I gave too much credit to the HdB improves a horse for a fence' ... he hasn't with PB and didn't with Petit Mouchoir in hindsight?

I hope I'm wrong as I have PBlue backed but all but written off until I see something special.
