Albert Bartlett 2019

Looks a Ballymore horse to me all day long. Fast run 2 1/2. I’d expect to see him at Cheltenham this weekend, not Donny.

He's a horse to look forward to. We'll probably go to Cheltenham in three weeks for Trials Day and then we'll probably go for the two-five race in March.

What’s changed from this statement at the start of the month?

Entered up in the ballymore trial as stated

We will see. Can't see the point in running him in the ballymore . Hed have a decent chance in the Albert bartlett. They wouldn't enter him in the river don If he's nailed on to go ballymore

What on earth makes you think this bit Scooby? As things stand I’d see no reason to think he’s any better chance in the AB than the Ballymore. I reckon it’s very dangerous to take that Champ formline too seriously. Brewin’ has a lot more to offer on that imo.

Because imo he was beat fair and square and stuck at the task well.

Although I agree he was beaten fair and square last time, I think they’ll want to get him in a truly run race over that trip before upping him in trip. Everything I’ve read and seen suggests the Ballymore has been the target all along. If he’s not good enough then I think they’d swerve Cheltenham altogether rather than bury him in the Albert Bartlett.

See Declan Rix in his ATR blog has given a mention to samburu Shujaa with this in mind. Don’t know a lot about him, is he worth looking into? Only priced up in a couple of places, 66/1 with skybet

CS entered again at Naas.

He’ll have a chance of getting his ground at Naas. Good to yielding on the hurdle course now with rain forecast for Thursday, Friday & Saturday.

Why hes not entered for Thurs is beyond me!

Said the same previously in the thread Jack. Guessing the tightish track around Gowran wasn’t seen as suitable as he’s clearly desperate to get a run in.

The Ballymore has been the plan all season. He won't be heading down the AB route.

Yeah - I read your stats. I tend to go more on my own visual impression but I take your point regarding his inexperience. I have taken some 25's each way because I think that's a stupid price when you look at what might actually turn up here and their relative experience.

is that nrnb ? it would be unusual for Henderson to run such a nice prospect in the 3m without testing the waters in grade company and they are running out of time to do this .. it is an unusual year as evidenced by the campaigning of Angels breath and oN the blind side. he was due to run at the previous Chepstow meeting , think missing that and then getting beaten ,, albeit showing great promise might leave Cheltenham as unlikely

Also have to bear in mind OM has confirmed Itchy Feet and Thomas Darby for the Supreme. The latter in particular could step up for the Ballymore if they were seriously considering stepping up Brewin’upastorm. Could be some late movements but see it as pretty unlikely

I'll ask him tomorrow and find out if his plans have changed.

Prob best of asking after sat, if he goes for the ballymore trial and I'd be assuming he'll be beat again in that.
