Albert Bartlett 2019

Could be of interest Jackie. Price will likely still be 'backable' if impressive enough tomorrow, so happy to keep an eye on this one.

Definitely. He does not have sexy connections and novice hurdles at Bangor tend to go unnoticed by most books.

You've talked me into it Kev and quevega. I'm having a lick :p

I have a nagging feeling NJH may have the strongest bunch of novices this year and Willie and Gordon might not be as strong as usual. Certainly going to be having a look at NJH top tariner when those markets are out.

done the reverse double with B365 230-1 just in case your crazy theory is right.
Had 2 ice creams obviously.

Greedy!!!!

I'm a sticky mess now.

Done the mad CoD 230/1 switch too!

Only had two runs over hurdles in France never did anything so still a novice

Calett Mad came here under different circumstances but as a novice after a season over fences first

Have they mentioned it though?

It'd be a wild race to have a prep for the National in?

I am right that Hendo said they bought him to be a National horse?

I'm not knocking it, was just not on my radar at all. Sky certainly aren't looking to entertain any bets on it!

I don’t think there has been any mention of it

Billymag noticed it so I requested, would be a really interesting angle though and he hits the runs trend!

Yeah, would definitely need to have some meaningful looks into his relevant form etc (which wouldn't be easy)

Tweet Nicky, he might pop it in his blog - he seems to answer a few qustions

Hendo mentioned about being a novice over hurdles. And blown his mark for the national. On his last blog.

Haha. Certainly hits the runs trend!! This horse would put the cat amongst the pigeons in this race.

Away from things Henderson & McManus there is a horse running at Bangor tomorrow called Two For Gold who could be tailored made for this race as he’s stepping up in trip again tomorrow. He started the season running over 2m in a hot novice and was beaten by Elixr De Nutz by 4 1/4 lengths. He then went on to win over 2m 5f and is up in distance again to 2m 7f tomorrow. They obviously thought he was a good horse pitching him in deep on debut but he just couldn’t live with 2 mile pace. The step up brought out improvement and there could be more to come.

Cracking race that.

Yep It was although not sure what the form tells us.
The last race Trio for Rio ran in is particularly telling in terms of where these may rank amongst the novices.
finished 28l behind alsa mix (beaten 6/7 23l to champ)
second was Darlac (beaten 7/7 35l jarveys plate)
third was mercy mecy me (beaten 5/5 16l elixir de nutz)

tried to copy and paste but wouldn't work.

although different days and different trips etc etc

Showed a good attitude?

I guess you're happy enough with that?

You need a battler for the Albert Bartlett so he has the right attitude for sure. Still available at 25/1 with Bet365 or 33/1 without concessions.

The fact he started off over 2m also shows he has some tactical speed as well.

Valtor will get an entry for this but not a certain runner. Rather than 7/1 NRNB I think ill try and get a price without that concession, if its 33/1 Ill have a go, would be very strange profile but if he hurdled ok id really fancy him for this.

If you add him to the exchange id expect you'll get 3 figures.

Ok just seen Hills are the only other firm to price him up at 10/1 without the NRNB concession, that is very skinny!!!!!!!!

That will likely put the exchange market off now being quoted so short elsewhere, But you'll soon find out
