2026 Novice Hurdlers

The 40s a good way for people to get involved who haven't backed him for this year imo.

A deceptive display I thought. Jumped well and just galloped away from the field. Didn't even look like he was showing a turn of foot but the times suggest otherwise. Supreme should be right up his street.

Hills offering 7/2 re OPS in their RTC specials. Too good to turn down for me. Best display from a novice I've seen in a long while. The way he burnt off the second turning for home and carried it on was very reminiscent of ... I won't say it.

I like La Canq there - stepped up into a tough race there against experience horses
Done more than most of the novice mares so far

Not sure why the bookies have pushed her out... will go back in!
I was dissapointed she didnt win myself

I havent backed her but failing to beat a 130 rated handicapper with 000 form figures this season getting 2lb doesnt scream mares novice winner

Fully agree with you

I was thinking in running looking at the speedo, he's got this wrong here near the end of the back straight, and he just kept quickening all the way

Super super impressive.

Take it Willie will hold FDT back for next season after seeing that demolition job by Old Park Star :ROFLMAO:

Or she was 2nd to a mare who was 3rd to Take No Chances and Kargese in the race last year and got an uncontested lead. Good experience whilst the Mares Novice will be a very different type of race.

The form of that race really stacks up too. Soldier Reeves has been ridden to achieve it's best possible finish there. Dropped out never tried to go with the pace. Rated 130 and 19 lengths back. Japetus rated 125 a further 4 lengths behind. Hurricane Pat rated 136 tried to go with OPS and got burned off but still finished in front of SR. That's a 150 performance in my book.

Was pushed out to 20/1, I've backed her again
Thats probably the strongest race any of those novice mares will have come march, I say she's run up to mid 130's there. Whilst Bambino has gone very little over hurdles so far

If 20/1 is still about come NRNB, or even 12/1, I'd be backing La Conq again

yeah, agreed with that, and he has to do it all himself on a track that may not be his optimum - seriously performance that!

Wouldn't blame them for thinking the Turners was the easier race now mind... Same with Mighty Park
