2026 Novice Hurdlers

Doubt very much if any of the maidens in those entries from Mullins will line up.
Any that have not had a run yet will probably need to be lining up and winning a maiden this weekend.

Yeah more for well being more than anything. Suppose can take a small pinch that they're considered a level 'potentially' good enough.

From the list I'd say

Le Divin Enfant
Love Me Tender

Will be the 2 key principles for Willie, so could be worth getting either in the book for anyone who hasn't prior

Yeah
Wouldn’t rule out sortudo but personally hope he’s left for naas

Yeah he's a possible

Suppose could easily be Mark - LMT, Paul on le divin and Danny on Sortudo

But agree he could be one for Naas

Didn't I read they thought this one needed a trip and would be trained with mid/staying races in mind ?
Or did I dream that....
They said the same about Kopek last year, needs to taken with a pinch of salt.

Below is what they said.

"Kopek Des Bordes
4g No Risk At All - Miss Berry
Monabeg Investments Limited
1
RPR 124b OR -

A real chasing type for next season, but will spend this season in novice hurdles. He was impressive in the manner he won at Fairyhouse and, although he's by No Risk At All, I would imagine staying will be his game. He's one to look forward to."

Was just glad to see Doctor Du Mesnil has an entry, wellbeing obvs OK.
Could go Supreme or Turners, not reading much into Willie's comments.
Loved the speed he showed under Jody in his Bumper.

Think they outlined the mid trip in the stable tours didn't they?

His bumper win was 2m 3f as well. So that'd line up with the longer trips than 2m. Got to start somewhere though...
From gaultstats, so doesn't include 2025 yet

Over the past 27 years previous G1 winners over 2m are 10 from 18. G1 winners over 2m 4f plus are currently 3 from 26

Winning over 2m is far from an impediment for this race

Is this questioning what I said or adding to it?

It's undoubtedly a race in which you need to have pace to win. Assuming it's a stat for the Turners anyway...

Doctor Du Mesnil blue across the board on Oddschecker today for the Albert Bartlett. Has something been said ?

Someone must have put him up, but personally wouldn't go near him for a Bartlett.

Not saying he couldn't win the race as he could just be a class act, and class can prevail, even in a race of that nature, but a Doctor Dino, so early in his career, over 3m at Cheltenham? It's not for me.

Theflyingking’s entries for the weekend & Christmas are solely over 2m. The writings been on the wall for a while but a handicap plot is clearly in the works.

Swapped allegiances over to Thedeviluno who’s got an entry in the G2 at Navan over 2m4f on Saturday.

50/1 B365/Flutter

Well I hope Gavin is wrong because I am invested in DDM in both the Supreme and the Turners. Haven't considered the Albert Bartlett....................until now !

Adding. Sorry boss, it wasn't meant as a personal slight

Theflyingking is 12/1 any race with WillHill. Little on the short side for my liking but with a handicap bid likely then he will probably start shorter. May hold out for NRNB and take the individual race prices instead if quick enough.

Elliott horses have been getting slapped hard by the handicapper at the festival for the last few seasons, so I'd be very reluctant personally to be taking odds of 12/1, with a good chance he doesn't start shorter at all after getting a hefty tax. The pipe is the handicap he has still managed to be successful in the last few years though, but even then better days ahead and wodhooh were still available at 10/1 and 7/1 on the day, and somewhere around 16s and 12s nrnb.

Mydaddypaddy novicey at a few still, but my my, he's some engine!

clipped a point or two, now a general 5-6/1 shot.
