2026 Novice Hurdlers

Mark Howard’s update raises concern around The Reverend taking to his new role hurdling due to his smallish stature…...even though he was one of Marks strongish picks ante post for the Supreme

Wasn't one on my mind for the novice hurdles but that is pretty weird considering he highlighted him as his most exciting one to follow

Riskabahia declared.

She goes up against Switch From Diesel, who was a very good bumper horse last season and is race fit from a win on the flat a couple of weeks back.

Kalypso'chance, Theflyingking, & Ma Jacks Hill all declared for the Monksfield on Sunday.

One I am very much interested in. She has been off a long time. I would be happy to see her just finish off her race and given a quiet(ISH) ride

….No Drama This End a best 14-1 Turners & AB. Heads Up pushed out to 50-1 AB.

Brain dead ride on Heads Up there

Laid him in running @ 4/5 when i seen him hitting 32/32mph

I wouldn't like to hang my hat on the 3 potentials for the festival:

Turners
Bartlett
Skip

Skip- PN will send to Aintree instead 😆 . Good performance but surely got to take the winning distances of today’s races with a pinch of salt

I have backed 2 Nicholls horses antepost. Kalif Du Berlais and No Drama This End. You can bet your life he goes to Aintree :D:D

It's as shame. At the start of the season, he had 4 or 5 live chances for some of the biggest races at Cheltenham. He is now down to No Drama This End and potentially Regents Stroll and probably none of them go there.

Challow now surely for No Drama then see what's what.

I don't like to get too carried away with Nicholls horses, for a couple of reasons, firstly, he would easily skip Cheltenham for Aintree. Cheltenham is too competitive for him now, IMO. He prefers easier pots to have a crack at, and secondly when he does run them at Cheltenham, in recent seasons, the majority have failed to deliver on the day (probably just not good enough in fairness).

However, I was very taken with that performances today. To bring that to the track first time out I thought was very impressive. The way he tanked round, dare I say, reminded me of Denman a little bit.

I don't think he'd win a Turners (neither did Denman FWIW), but I can see him placing in one before going on to better things over fences over 3m next season.

….Mullins;

She makes her first start for us in what looks like a warm race. She’s a very nice mare by No Risk At All. She jumps and gallops well and I think she’ll go in the ground but will be getting better as she goes into the spring.

She’s a lovely, sharp, mover and I’m looking for a big run from her.

Hoping for a defeat here. Playing devils advocate with her current 20/1 price but i think there could be a few points more on offer. If she wins, i will have to take it on the chin and assess the new price.

Mad how a year on she’s 13 points lower than when introduced to the markets last year :ROFLMAO: and she’s not set foot on a racecourse for mr Mullins.

A sad indictment of the bookies running scared of Willie Mullins. They only offer decent prices when the odds are stacked heavily in their favour.

I'll sort that opened 12-1 for the monksfield tomorrow.
Lovely price
Might be called off and might run monday instead but 12-1 is 100% value

There’s a chance Dec rolls the dice tomorrow anyway. The For Auction looks just as deep a race.
