2026 Novice Hurdlers

Whenever there is talk about the Turners, it seems there's an unwritten consensus that No Drama doesn't win it - just sits there at the top of the market, half the price of anything else, helping make prices for the Irish..
Hes gonna finish 2nd or 3rd to horses with a better turn of foot youd imagine

Likely to one of skylight hustle, ballyfad, king rasko, sober etc that have run well in 2 mile graded races in ireland

It’s shaping up to be some Supreme, and could well be looked at after as one of the more high quality ones we’ve had imo
I’d have OPS and TTT closer in the betting and I hope all those three at the finish today go there.

Talk the Talk and Skylight still a nice double if not already on imo
Indeed

Skylight still the one i like most for it

King rasko and ballyfad surely a bit flattered by the way todays race was run (im saying that as someone who has rasko turners covered too)

….W Mullins;

Dr Stein; ‘I think he’s surprised a few people with his improvement this season and that seems to be with the step up in trip. We’re going up to two miles six on Saturday and longer trips seem to bring out a lot of improvement in this horse. I’m looking forward to a big run from him on this ground.’

Love me Tender; ‘I’m not sure about the trip with him but we’ve decided to try it. He is by Doctor Dino out of a Poliglote mare, and I’ll be happy to watch Saturday’s race with him before we make any plans on his future regarding the distance.’

Think the race today will really get the conversations flowing and makes the 3 novice races a total minefield. Everyone saying King rasko will be suited by Turners but I got the impression that Paul was able to wind him up but the ground massively stopped the gears that were there. I think king is destined for supreme still. Has there been no quotes from either mullins or Paul yet after the race?

Not seen any but a lot more popular for the turners.

It would be good to know what question was posed.
Per Irish Racing

On his chance in the Supreme Novices’ he added, “He’s probably going to be favourite now and he’ll have a favourites chance. The Supreme isn’t maybe run as strong as it used to be, you often see horses make all in it nowadays.

“Today we were conscious after a fall the last day that he relaxed and did things right. That was why we rode him as patiently as we did and luckily we got away with it.”

That does very much sound like he's not even considered going elsewhere.

Some very keen to lay Ballyfad in the Turners this evening.

El Cairos Turners?
He ran a great race," said Ballyfad's trainer Gordon Elliott. "There were no excuse. He did everything right and just got caught on the line. I loved the way he battled to beat King Rasko Grey and just got nutted by Talk The Talk. I was a little bit worried about the ground for him and think on a bit better ground he could be even better. He and [stablemate] El Cairos will go to the Supreme now."

So turners potentially looking like, definite runners..

No Drama This End 9/2
Skylight Hustle 10/1

Who else?

I'll Sort That? 16s
King Rasko Grey? 14s

Act Of Innocence looks very likely, presuming Huntington goes to plan.

BFX offering 50+ I’ll sort that which is incredible for a Lawlors winner.
