The Browns looks like it could be a hell of a race.
Arkle also looks decent. Although might cut up a bit now the forecast seems good.
There are some prices in that BANC market that are way out of sync given the probable ground.
Big Westerner for one looks way too short to me.
Final Demand is definitely a hype over substance and should be 5-1 or bigger.
Wendigo looks too short now.
Hard to pick a winner actually and then we get a random one supplemented.
Can get a couple of quid on at 160's actually.

Surprised Western Fold seems to be unpopular given likely ground. Lurking around 14/1 on exchanges.

Must be the romeo factor and jockey etc, but who knows
it is a market ripe for big changes though as I said earlier.

Absolutely. It's an unbelievably competitive race. If they all turned up, you'd not be bowled over if any of the first 9 in the market won. They probably won't, as punters end up going for something on the day, but they could all feasibly be an EW price.

The ‘ground’ gets mentioned quite a lot at the moment and I’m wondering what it will really be like. Like many I’ve seen the ground dry out at the festival year after year even in a wet year. Politics say it will never be allowed to go really good and I know they are talking of watering. Maybe they will if only for politics but I think there is every reason to think this year is different. It’s a matter of fact that Cheltenham has had twice as much rain as they usually get. I think with a week to go that g-s is as dry as it’s going to get. It should suit most of the horses is my view.

Yea, nobody should be expecting quick ground. They'll be watering. We can be pretty sure we aren't getting heavy at this point though. And even soft would seem unlikely. That's enough.

By the sounds of it, it'll be pretty much Good all over by tomorrow. Hate bloody watering but it needs to be done.

True. And tbf it will still be so damp underneath, they won’t be lashing it on invade we get any rain. Wont take much for the ground to open up.

I've been on Lulamba for the Arkle since the supreme (Kopek didnt impress me... but thats another story)

BUT..... I thought it was only fair to take a look at the Arkle again, and I cant stop looking at Kargese.

Beat and then second to Majborough in the Triumph
Second to Sir Gino at aintree
Wins the Country hurdle
Third to State Man and Golden Ace

She had Romeo Coolio on the ropes at the DRF, on ground that wouldnt have suited her, also having to do most of the running, and running on the wider track which is 2m1f

Good ground next week, on a sharper track over a shorter trip. Out of all of the horses in the field, conditions will suit her the most

6/1 is a tad short for me for a horse that's 4th in the betting!
If I wasnt on Lulamba antepost, and rocking up on the day looking for a bet, I'd back her hoping to get 7/1 or a tad more

She could just be that one horse, that if she wins, I'd look back at her form and shake my head in shame

Danny mullins was stood down after a fall today. She could get the nepo anchor inflicted on her.

I backed her a while back, loved the DRF run, as long as that didn’t take too much out of her, and as long as Patrick isn’t on board….massive chance.

Imagine if Townend came a cropper this week - probably gonna need another glass of wine to help me sleep tonight - don’t want images of Patrick on Kopek going through my head..
I reckon they’d get Cobden in tbf. Can’t trust paddy on them all. Funnily enough, he’s done me alright in less fancied ones, but in the big shots, no thanks.

JAMIE SNOWDEN

WENDIGO

“He would be the most obvious one in our team at this year’s Festival as he is the shortest priced British contender in the Brown Advisory.

"I couldn’t be happier with him and he deserves to run a big race. He schooled last week and jumped super.

“He won a Grade Two at Newbury earlier in the season, but he just found Kempton Park’s right handed track, on quick ground, a little bit sharp for him, but he ran well to be third.

“He enjoyed a confidence boosting run at Ayr the other day and he goes there in great form."
