Salvator Mundi declared for the 2m2f chase at Thurles on Thursday, the same race Un De Sceaux started in.

No Kargese.

Romeo is our horse for the Drinmore, I’d say just him,” Elliott said of the six-year-old, who was third in the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle in March and second at Aintree.
“He’s got good form, he’s a good horse. I’ve always thought jumping fences would be his job and would be the making of him.
“I think two and a half is his trip, he could come back to two miles but two and a half is his trip.”

....... Aintree!!!!!!!!
Drinmore is lining up to be a cracking race. Romeo and Gold Dancer look exciting whilst the betting suggests second season novice Slade Steel could be reappearing. I wonder if the fact they could be going for a grade 1 first up suggests they are looking to get runs into him with handicaps in mind. No loss situation as win and delighted, beat and shouldn't do too much damage knowing will need to be a certain level to get in anyway.

Jimmy Du Seuil, Joystick, More Coko & Predators Gold all entered up at Fairyhouse in a Beginners Chase over 2m5f, for Willie.

The Wallpark, Wingmen & Jacobs Ladder for Gordon also entered along with Slade Steel & The Big Westerner for Henry.

Could be some race!

Regent's Stroll first time up over fences in the Grade 2 John Francome Novices Chase on Saturday, now declared, alongside Wendigo, King Of Kingsfield plus others.

Tough ask for Regent's Stroll against race fit rivals, IMO.

He's had a really slow tough start to the season PN but he has had a couple of potential stars that we've seen out already and RS may well be another.

Happy PN has declared him as will keep Wendigo’s price decent. Form of his debut given a right boost by wade out at the November meeting.

Some race, that!

Same race Impaire Et Passe won last season. Monkfish also won this race. In fairness it's thrown up some cracking results in the past.

bit if a weird race, similar to JDG. He jumped well, bar one, but didn’t find loads. Sure will improve but still disappointing! No arkle winner there surely

Yeah, he really did jump well, I thought it was pretty professional on that part of it, just a shame he was made to set the fractions (which obviously Paul got wrong) over 2m2f!

He can jump, but Looked to me like he got a bit too close to some and had to work a bit harder than they would have liked over them
Room for improvement of course.

Jekyll and Hyde horse that one. Not one to trust.

Regent’s Stroll has always been seen as an embryonic chaser and Paul Nicholls has no fears about diving straight into deep waters for the Coral John Francome Novices’ Chase at Newbury on Friday.

Unseasonable early-season ground has kept the exciting six-year-old confined to barracks so far this term, but he is now tasked with enhancing the stellar Ditcheat roll of honour in the race, one which includes Denman (2006), Clan Des Obeaux (2016) and most recently Hermes Allen two years ago.

“He’s definitely a chaser and as long as he jumps well, this should be his game,” said Nicholls.

“He’s schooled nicely and we’ve managed to get on grass now it’s rained. He’s been very good at home, but he’s got to go and do it on the track now.

“It’s not like he’s in a beginners’ chase, he’s straight in at the deep end, but then we chucked No Drama This End in the other day and it worked, so we hope it does again.

“I would have loved to have run him in a beginners’ chase a month ago, but we’ve just had to wait for the ground to come right. A couple of the others have had a run and will have that experience edge, but we’re very happy with him and he has to start somewhere.”

Two of Regent’s Stroll’s four victories have come at Newbury, including when impressing on this very card on his hurdling debut 12 months ago.

Only one other victory would follow in a season in which he was highly tried, but having finished the campaign with second in an Aintree Grade One in the spring, Nicholls is hopeful that educational year over timber will have served him well.

He added: “He was a bit mentally immature last year over hurdles and the odd time it didn’t work out, but he ended the season very well at Aintree and learned a lot that day when bowling along and just getting chinned in a Grade One.

“He was always going the right way and hopefully physically he is a bit stronger now so I’m looking forward to running him.”

Among the opposition to Regent’s Stroll is Lambourn handler Jamie Snowden’s Albert Bartlett fifth Wendigo, who saw the form of his narrow defeat to Olly Murphy’s Wade Out boosted when his Worcester conqueror struck at Cheltenham recently.

Murphy is this time represented by Kingston Pride who claimed the scalp of Tripoli Flyer on chasing debut at Perth and has been held back since with this date in mind.

“I couldn’t have him any better and he’ll love a bit of nice ground,” said Murphy.

“He’s been freshened up since Perth and has schooled well. It looks a very competitive race, but I wouldn’t swap him.”

Ben Pauling won this last year with King George hopeful The Jukebox Man and seeks a double with Ascot scorer No Questions Asked, while the in-form Anthony Honeyball saddles Sefton Novices’ Hurdle third Crest Of Fortune after a pleasing chasing bow when second at Cheltenham.

The line-up is complete by Gordon Elliott’s King Of Kingsfield, who is already a Grade Three winner over the larger obstacles but was pulled up at Cheltenham in October.

Taken 33 for the BANC, he’s one of the big priced ones that imo could challenge the likes of FD.
Always been talked of as a chaser, and with a trainer that knows 3m chasers.
I know some say he’s had his day, has been etc, but PN ain’t forgot how to train a chaser imo, and whilst he might not get the ammo he used to, I’m still confident he can train one if that one is good enough, I have a feeling this one might just get him some big race success.

Thought Kingston Pride looked real good on his chase debut, I wont be backing against him until he's beaten although this does look a fair contest, Mambonumberfive is the other novice chaser for tomorrow, Hills have him at 50's in their specials, win tomorrow & any festival race, thought that was a fair price myself.

Apologise, didn't think my £10 would make them trim the price already.
