Jockeys hand position suggested the horse was pulling again. Wasnt necesarily pulling hard but this was 2m3f id worry about it going a tad slower over further.

Just rewatched Kitzbuhel, even more impressed than I was originally.

He's jumped round there effortlessly today and what I loved about him is that when Paul asked for one he came up every time. The Enabler went on before the turn and just took Pauls ground meaning he had to switch but he swiftly got on top of him.

RaceIQ says he gained 14.67L jumping and had a 8.9 on the jump index

Would have been again a perfect type for the Turners but be interesting to see him going that bit further in the Faugheen at Xmas, maybe Final Demand as a big opponent there.

I’d agree he’d definitely be Turners bound if it was still there, I’m not sure he really wants 3m, he wasn’t staying on well over hurdles last year when he was stepped up, wonder if they might take the Impaire Et Passe route with him.

Watching that today I don’t have much doubt he’s a stayer and that 3m would suit over fences, he certainly looked a real stayer to me today, and the way he jumps would carry him a long way into a race.

He has course form (2nd in Pertemps) ant Cheltenham and was highly rated before losing his mind before the start at Sandown last season. Fences should be no issue given his ptp background. I can’t help but love a Hendo horse.

16/1 AR on W Hill, had a dabble as is always the possibility he ends up in the Turners.

Was my weekend in work and as we gear up for Xmas sending stock to stores (as much overtime as you want) im playing catch up. As no price for Kitzbuhel (JRNHC) i hit the 10/1 anyrace WH this morning.

One big issue I have with this run, what on earth were they doing putting him out over 2m2f first time chasing since his disastrous debut effort, on a flat track like Kempton?

He's obviously shown he's a 3 miler. Stinks of either some handicap job or a way to get him back over hurdles.

Nico didn't get into him from the 3rd last,looked like he was going to go after Jax Junior then...nothing, just let him fiddle the final 2 fences and barely moved, he may have blown up but I'd bet his wind is looked at in the next few days, I'd not be backing him again myself,seen much worse debuts, but I really expected more from JDR.
The winner I'd love to see go on and do something for the owners who seem like a genuine pair of NH enthusiasts during the interview just now.

The winner looks like an excellent jumper. I hope he doesn't go up too much for that. He'd be of great interest to me in the Jack Richards off around 145.

A nice boost to Lump Sum's form too. He'd not get near to Kopek on all known form, but I think he might give Lulamba a scare. There are worse 33/1 pokes.

As a backer of Kitzbuhel for the BANC then it was a good debut and I like the fact he has had a race. Jumped really well and when passed Townend didn't seem too concerned. Stayed strongly to the line in what looked a decent beginners chase pre-race. Next race will tell us plenty I hope.

Doubt he will be good enough for the BANC but Oscars Brother is a good jumper who stays well. His improvement had come on better ground this year so is worth upgrading I feel. He could be one for the NH Chase or Irish National.

Lucky Place was disappointing, though as mentioned he did scope dirty after the race. As a backer for the BANC though it doesn't bode well the trainer stating he probably doesn't want further than 2m 5f! He is joining a long list of Stayers Hurdle horses that are failing to produce that form over fences. It is also leaving me question just how strong the Stayers hurdle form is? Is it a case of Stayers not making chasers, or is the form of last year generally weak?

I'm also going to add in an honourable mention for Gold Dancer. His form got a nice boost when Westport Cove won again landing the grade 2 at Punchestown. As the only horse to beat him over fences and a multiple grade 3 winner himself his form is stacking up nicely. He is also the only horse to beat Downmexicoway over fences (By 8 lengths easily and conceding 7lb in weight) who has since won a handicap off 134 and is now rated 143. He is rated 153 but could easily be considered a few pound higher. The problem with regard Cheltenham is what race would he go for? Not sure he would stay strong enough for 3m but then does he have the pace for 2m? Certainly jumps well enough. Next step I would of thought is the Drinmore where he will take on Romeo Coolio. Where next after that however? Winners have been all sorts. 40/1 for BANC and not even priced up for an Arkle. Seems mad for a novice with a 153 rating. Could even do a Caldwell Potter if all doesn't go to plan in the Drinmore. He is a horse I will be watching closely.
