2026 Novice Chasers

I’m hoping both run well as I have them both backed for Arkle.
Mambo I fluked with a WTAF any race bet.
At the time I weren’t even thinking the Arkle would be the race!!
😆
Steel ally I backed after his last race, was impressed with that run.
Those two dangers to Lulamba I was talking about...yeah, this will be a cracking race, I'm thinking both could be major horses for next season as well.

Fergal O'brien leaning towards the Jack Richards for Sixmilebridge according to Josh Stacey just now.

Can hardly blame them, 1lb for winning the Scilly Isles!

14/1 best price now NRNB.

Was a no brainer 20s NRNB last night I thought, and thats from someone that has had barely any hcap bets to this point compared to previous years

Yeah, I went in at 25's after someone on here put up a fair case for him (y)

Edit. Might have been 20's actually, need to check tomorrow! Either way, looking like a decent enough bet now.

I have put him up on my thread in the Members section?

I think it usually is but not 100%

Looking at the field for the race there's only 7 entered, and they still all have to be declared, so its possible he could finish top 4 while still being well beat.

It does seem complicated though, so the easier plan might be to just get thumped again and hope for another few pounds taken off for the kim muir, and if that doesn't happen just run in the ultima or skip Cheltenham.

He ran johnnywho and sa majeste in the kim muir last year who were both fancied so he could go with multiple runners.
The Wallpark declared, 5 runners.

Will be an interesting watch..

Was that the last qualifying race for the NHC over 2m7 1/2

cant remember
I had the same question regarding Wingmen. Had him in mind for NHC/Kim Muir for a while. Still needs one more run, and over 2m 7 1/2 for the former.

I'm fairly certain the three runs are required on or before 22nd February. There are three rated chases over 3m between not and then which I suppose could be a possibility for some.

….this was from last years thread;

‘Which prior to 24th February 2025 have started a minimum of THREE Steeple Chases
in Britain, Ireland or France, one of which must be in the current season,
and which have places 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th in a Steeple Case with an official distance description of
'two miles seven and a half furlongs' or more’

As long as Mark doesn’t finish too close to Oscar’s Brother and Gold Dancer, who I’m presuming may be trying, then he may get away with losing another 1lbs or 2.

Shocking really how the game is played at times but if it’s works to our advantage backing him for the NHC or Kim Muir then why not.

You would imagine Oscar's Brother will be trying, and could be one for the BANC if he wins too.

….we know trends are there to be broken but looking at @Saxon Warrior analysis of Ten Up Chase, it’s only produced one Festival winner in the last 7 runnings and that was in 2019 when Any Second Now finished 3rd before going on to win KM.

Certainly not the strongest race with regards to an indicator, but it is always one of interest.

I was very confident Farouk D'alene was on his way to win the RSA, and Better Days Ahead gave a good account last year. You aren't getting odds on shots for the festival running in it so more a view of potential placed horses perhaps
