If connections are not punters then why not just be up front about plans and whether they are affected by other horses, either race related or strength of opponent related…..

It doesn't look that competitive but it is also a grade 2 with a decent prize. Very different to a Beginners chase with a few quid to the winner.
 
Problem is how much does he realistically have in hand?

I’d say very little from what we know of his chase starts to date imo.
 
Kopek now pushed out for Arkle by several including PP to 9/4 and shortening Lulamba to 6/4. Kargese and Romeo also shortened

It may simply be a reaction to Gordon decking to send kala to sandown and Romeo to 2m race at DRF. I’m sure that if he’d had a significant setback, there would be some news

if anything major the exchanges will give us a clue tonight, lets hope they're just playing to see if they get any bites.
 
David Mccarthy last said all was good with kopek on Tuesday, so if there's been some sort of setback then it'd have to be very recent you'd think. But people have been talking about the evens available on him being a sign that he may not be going drf for what seems like further back than tuesday. So it might just be a bit of general uncertainty causing the drift, given that he's not been 100% confirmed.

Could just be someone who has him at bigger prices panicking and laying off a bit, worth watching closely though of course.

David Mccarthy has been fairly quick in the past to set things straight when there's been rumours. I'd be getting a bit worried alright if there's no updates from him soon given the rumours.
 
Its hardly all down to Lydia hislop is it? 😂 Just saw her latest column came out today talking about how its not confirmed yet that kopek goes to the drf.
 
Still 3.8 for the arkle so he can't be injured. Just doesn't look like he's making it to drf
 
Maybe he needs more time and will go straight to the Fez , hence the bigger price than one would expect for the Irish Arkle but not drifting for the English?
